More than quarter of Americans - 28 per cent - said that it might 'soon be necessary to take up arms' against the US government, according to a new poll released Thursday.

The survey, which polled a pool of 1,000 US voters, was conducted by the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics in May.
The poll revealed deep divides between Americans of differing viewpoints, with nearly identical percentages of Republicans and Democrats (73 and 74 per cent) saying that the other side 'are generally bullies who want to impose their political beliefs on those who disagree.'

The survey found that overall, 49 per cent of Americans agreed that they 'more and more feel like a stranger in my own country.'
The breakdown in the political leanings of those who felt that sentiment was characteristic of the rest of the survey - 69 per cent of voters who identified as 'very conservative' expressed it, while only 38 per cent of self-identified 'strong democrats' did.

One third of Republicans polled held the belief that armed resistance to the government may soon be necessary, while 35 percent of independent voters felt that way, and 20 percent of Democrats.

Exactly. Those who relish the thought and say “let’s get this over with” have no idea how this will play out. But it will be bad. The part where you can’t buy or sell will be a real eyeopener.

There is virtually no state with the interior individual identity that would generate enough to overcome the federal inertia. I am sure Texas will be noted. The cartels would consume everything south of San Antonio in a week. Houston and Dallas are not seceding.

We DO care. The media has covered up almost all coverage of what is happening to them. They’ve locked it down so tight, the right doesn’t even have a clue about all of the evil stuff the leftists are doing.

I was seeing groups of Antifa and Black Nationalists at the local range during that same timeframe.
They were wearing logo shirts and hats that made their affiliations quite apparent. Their chatter was very unrestrained. It seemed that they were "showing colors" to make an impression. They did.
Some of them were quite skilled and diligent in their practice routines. I would not expect them to be easy opponents on a two-way range.
They faded away after several months. Then COVID came along, and I have not seen any of them since.
Oh, look: more gun control propaganda from the conspiracy theory mongers in bed with the enemy.
