NPR reporter Nina Totenberg said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that she believed that a conservative law clerk was the likeliest suspect for the leak of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft majority decision overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
Totenberg said, “It’s viewed it’s an earthquake, and I think within the court itself it’s an earthquake. There has never been a leak like this. There have been minor, little springs that have emerged from the court, reports of a tentative vote or misbehavior by one justice back in the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s. There were those kinds of leaks but never an entire draft of a majority opinion. That has never, ever occurred before. And it can only, in all likelihood, have come from a justice, I think that is less likely, perhaps one of the clerks. The leading theory is a conservative clerk who was afraid that one of the conservatives might be persuaded by Chief Justice Roberts to join a much more moderate opinion.”

I’m sure she did. The only things I know about NPR are posted on the FR. Not in a million years would I ever listen to them.
Not only without evidence ... but such allegations are an intentional and subtle form of disinformation used to inflame and allow the left to control the framing of the issue. I expect Nina to make a very public apology and then resign once she is proven wrong here. (I am still betting because it is a politically connected insider leftist mole, there will be no disclosure of who leaked the SCt draft. Also do not rule out it could be one of the justices.)
Roberts is not what I would call conservative, but I wouldn’t put it past him or one of his clerks.

Roberts may be malleable and crazy with regards to helping the left, but I find it incredible that he would leak and then publicly be outraged and demand to find out who leaked it. He doesn’t seem to be a member of the Jussie Smollett inflame the public through false accusation club.

This should be easy. All Justices and employees of the Supreme Court should be required to take a lie detector test by a private contractor. FBI has been proven that it cannot be trusted with this requirement. Those that refuse the test will be terminated immediately and in case it is a Justice, impeachment proceedings should begin without delay.

If NPR ‘News’ was worth a d@mn, after the name of the clerk gets released and it turns out NOT to be a clerk for a conservative justice, she should be fired for misinformation.
Possibly. But we know that Justice Breyer was forced out... most likely his clerks played a role in that. So if we’re looking for sneaky bastards, I’d start looking in Breyer’s shop first.
