A Texas judge invited Disney to move from Florida amid its ongoing feud with Gov. Ron DeSantis. In a letter addressed to Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek, Fort Bend County Judge KP George invited the company to consider Fort Bend County as "a welcoming and diverse place to do business."

SPJNK.
They should move their freak show to Red China.
Fort Bend County Judge KP George
You realize that the judge is basically a local and a nobody outside his small pond.
FALSE. It was the Florida legislature, not the governor, that revoked the Disney's self governing magical LGBQRTSUVWXYZ Kingdom. DeSantis merely signed what the legislature passed.
And passed overwhelmingly BTW.
They ain’t gonna move. Too much money invested in the Magic Kingdom.
They should stick it in the center of Austin (the anus of Texas).

But, but, but, I thought judges weren’t political.
Truth đź‘Ť
That scumbag’s more of a manager/president and not a legal judge. See Post #7.
True dat.
So I’ve learned on this thread.
Anywhere but here; I agree.
If Disney fell off the edge of the earth tommorrow, it would have minimal effect on Florida, they have other really large theme parks that do not have County Status.
Revoking that status is exactly what Disney has earned by attempting to illegitimize the Florida State Legislature through fraudulent statements , and those statements hold the Florida Legislature in contempt and place the voice of the people, a democratically elected voice, in disrespect.
Disney enjoyed the privilege of County Status, and in trying to get the legislature to support the destruction of innocence in children at school, by teaching what to most parents is a perversion of ordinary relatoinships between children at and after puberty. This is tantamount to grooming children for perversion.
Disney has earned this revocation of County status, it was a privilege now undeserved, a provilege whicbn supported contempt for the Florida Legislature and The Voice of the People in their duly elected Legislature.
So true...SeaWorld is better and the best is Busch Gardens
True...No one should!!
It’s an interesting scenario. Imagine them shutting down and concentrating operations in California only. The maintenance cost on the “abandoned” park would be insane and I’m sure the fines for not maintaining it would be insane. The cost to bulldoze it would also be astronomical. Too much intellectual property to sell it in its current form. Disney is stuck with this behemoth so I imagine the Mouse that roared is going to quietly just go back to eating his cheese.
We also know that Disney fired former child star Tommy Kirk when the then 21-year-old Kirk was caught having sex with a 15-year-old boy.
It could happen. He is up for re-election in November.
In 2020, the dems carried most of the Fort Bend County local elections by a 53/47 margin. If 2022 is a Republican tidal wave election like many predict, then those local vote margins could easily flip.
Yes, the Democrats swept Fort Bend County along with Harris County in 2018. That was a bad day, and we in Houston have been paying for it since.
