Russia is deploying between 10,000 and 20,000 mercenaries in Ukraine, a European official said.
Some are Syrian and Libyan fighters, though the exact breakdown of the force is still unclear.

What Arab army would we call top notch? Not one. These are nothing but Putin’s bullet stoppers to try and cut his own losses.

I dont think you will find Freepers on this end of the spectrum that would have supported Hillary/Obama and the destabilization of Libya by hunting down and killing Qaddafi (or the American lives lost in that process).
Syria is still under rule of Assad, so I wonder what you are referring to in that case.

What does it say about the Russian military when they have to hire mercenaries to fight a much smaller and weaker neighbor?
Ouch. This conflict makes me more nervous by the day given the nuclear situation and our leadership here and abroad.

I don’t support the Azov Regiment nor do I support Putin.
I do feel sorry for the people dying on both sides of this conflict who have little say or influence on the game being played in the Ukraine by Putin, the West, and the corruptocrats of the Ukraine.
There will be no “winners” in the Ukraine regardless of how journalists/politicians define “victory”. Everybody is “losing”.
