Time to find a better school not connected to the Virginia teachers union.
A letter from the president of a Virginia teachers union arguing for more stringent measures to stem the flow of Covid-19 was mocked on Twitter for its many grammatical errors.
Parent Ellen Gallery marked up the letter and posted the heavily corrected version on Twitter, writing: “Hey [Virginia Education Association], are you going to send out more of these grammar worksheets over break? My kids and I had a great time spotting errors! Did we find them all?”
Ms Gallery marked up about 20 errors in the letter sent by Arlington Education Association President Ingrid Gant to Arlington Schools Superintendent Dr Francisco Duran, calling for more on-site Covid tests to be provided amid the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of the virus.
Ms Gant argued that classes shouldn’t resume as planned in January until the schools’ testing capabilities are improved.

One of many reasons they don’t want parents to know what they are teaching the children
grammar is racist.
Another pathetic example of the educrat mission substitution. Nothing they do actually educates children. Year after year, lower test scores, lower standards, and more leftist, pagan, social engineering propaganda.
Public schools, all of them, every one, every where, are child abuse.
I wouldn’t send my dog to a public school.
Next are photocopies of the original that was written in crayon.
In closing, AEA members believe in their profession [...]
Holy Dangling Participles, Batman!
Regards,
I even found a few more errors, lol. Hopefully, this moron steps down soon.
Here's one that was published in the New York Post today:
THE OFFICE IS TEMPORIRLY UNAVAILBE
This is the Bowery Residents' Committee, supposedly there to help the homeless but taking a cue from the Everybody Does What They Want Department. Story in the Post HERE.
Hilarious. Good job of proofing the letter.
The “educators” who elected this woman to be President of their trade union did not notice that she was functionally illiterate. Only the best for our children...
You don’t have to look.
You don’t have to look.
Thank you for sharing!
Half of the marked “mistakes” weren’t actual grammatical mistakes, but rather style issues that are considered bad, but not incorrect, writing.
The original writer would do well to pick up a Warriner’s and read up on commas, though.
So was Grandpa.
I’m an ELA teacher in Florida (my daughter went to a private school until 8th grade, then four years in public high school.) Honestly, I’m doing it for the money at this point. I have a few interesting prospects in the private sector, but for now, I’m doing what I can.
It’s grim, but there are a few of us in deep cover trying to help the few kids who want it.
