Donald Trump’s longest-serving White House chief of staff isn’t so sure that the former president will mount a comeback campaign in 2024, even as he continues to tease another run for the White House.
“Trump won’t run,” John Kelly, a former Homeland Security secretary who served as Trump’s chief of staff for a year and a half, told The Atlantic. “He’ll continue talking about it; he may even declare, but he will not run. And the reason is he simply cannot be seen as a loser.”
Kelly has remained relatively quiet since leaving his post at the White House in 2019, though he has spoken critically of Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Trump could win EASILY if he ran right now..but with the massive voter fraud, they will do everything in their power to make sure he “lost” and question..why is it that almost every single person that worked under Trump turned out to be such a sleaze bag..notice EVERYONE who ever associated with Obama, Biden, never say one bad word about them because they know what would happen to them if they did..but with Trump, I guess the “in thing” is to be a prick
John Kelley was a deep state plant. One of Trump’s worst mistakes. He certainly isn’t a Trump insider after almost certainly being a leaker and getting fired. His opinion on this matter is worth less than mine because at least I don’t have an axe to grind.
You’d think Trump could never get out of bed.

Kelly is another of the cabal of treasonous USMC Generals.
EX is the optimum word here. Who are they going to quote next? Scaramucci? Or perhaps Barr? Come on
Kelly Served for a year and a half of Trump’s four years. That tells you Kelly does not appreciate Trump or understand him as well as he pretends to.
Trump doesn’t need to declare his intentions until after the 2022 midterms.
As long as Trump is “breathing air” he’s in the hunt for the Presidency.
If he dies of old age before 2024, I’ll be the guy with the shovel saying:
“Its worth a try...what do we have to lose?”
Waste of press time & space, unless it’s just to keep the suspense going for promotion.
I could see that.
There is no way the GOP will let Trump get the nomination.
But there is DeSantis waiting in the wings.

It amazes me the sellouts in Trump’s circle.
Makes you wonder who had his ear, and was suggesting losers
for him to appoint.
Trump is good in business matters, but he does not know the
political affiliations and mindsets of these people.
He’s told they are solid capable people. He appoints them.
He needs a savvy individual to verify they are the real
deal before he gets burned over and over.
Makes me wonder if Mitch was in on some of it.

I thought he was dead.
When someone like John Kelly says something like that, he says it for only two reasons:
1. He is trying to plant that idea in Trump’s mind
because he
2. Thinks Trump’s mentality and principles are motivated by banality, like his are.
Now let’s see how quickly Kelly refers to his heroic son that was killed in battle, like Biden does.
