Top general warns China could soon spring surprise nuclear strike on US

The second-ranking general in the US military has sounded the alarm about China’s weapons development — warning that Beijing may soon have the capability to launch a surprise nuclear strike against America.

“They look like a first-use weapon,” Gen. John Hyten, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told CBS News Tuesday. “That’s what those weapons look like to me.”

Hyten was discussing China’s test of a hypersonic weapon from this summer, which was first reported by the Financial Times last month.

“They launched a long-range missile,” Hyten said. “It went around the world, dropped off a hypersonic glide vehicle that glided all the way back to China, that impacted a target in China.”

I say go for it. Maybe God will step in after the planet is in ruins. Apparently we haven’t done enough harm yet.

Not to mention, they’d be killing their best customers.

In 1939 France was Germany's #1 trading partner.

Just sayin'...

So, what does China do with a radiated America?
Get their coal and food elsewhere?
Write off the debt we owe them?
Sell their junk to other countries that are going to greatly admire their nuclear machismo?

Did Milley ask you to call them to confirm this?

???? Why on earth would the Chinese DESTROY their very customer base for all the crap they produce? That’s just stupid right there. Better to bribe some future likely President (or his son) and get all the legislation you want to keep selling your $h!t to your main market. Oh, wait....

Nah, we’ve been assured that China will call up Gen. Milley and warn him first. They had a reciprocal deal going...

China wants to move a few hundred million Chines here - they don't want a radioactive mess to move them to. They also don't want the possibility we would retaliate. (of course with our 'military' that's unlikely... )It looks to me like the Chinese would rather use the US Military, 'intelligence', and the FBI to do their dirty work for them... Why fight when you can 'compromise' those in power? Maybe they can get the FBI to label private citizens (like young parents, grandparents who care about what's happening and conservative in general) as 'domestic terrorists'... That takes out half the country... Intimidation's the 'Chinese Way'. Why not use thugs in our government to do their work for them? Not that they could ever get the FBI to label citizen/parents as 'domestic terrorists'... right?

With the same kind of trade deficits? Why nuke us when they can just take over gradually. But yes, anything is possible.

Except the argument that ‘there would be no war because is would destroy the customer (commercial activity) base ‘ was an argument as to why WWI was impossible !

That didn’t work out so well !

Except that Germany was not the SOLE customer base of Europe in the aftermath. FAR FROM IT. By any measure there is no realistic comparison between post WWI Germany and the current US consumer market and status -——Fail...

I just recently rewatched the movie “Fail Safe”, watch that and tell how China can win a nuclear war. There is no such thing and watch “On The Beach”, that should convince you there are no winners at all.

You're relying on fiction to assess the plausibility of different nuclear war scenarios?! Seriously?!

Then why not also reference "Superman: The Movie," and note that Superman could just fly around the globe really fast and reverse the effects?

Regards,

But yes, anything is possible.

Yeah. Expect ideological, not rational, behavior from communists and democrats (but I repeat myself...)
