There might be a few incidents, but the Taliban has been paid to leave Americans alone.

I’m looking at the Google sat view of the airport. Looks like one runway to me. If the Taliban control the south side, they are only 1000 ft or so from our troops and can easily stop everything from coming or going if they choose to. Google Maps says ‘Temporarily Closed’ at the moment.
