I’m looking at the Google sat view of the airport. Looks like one runway to me. If the Taliban control the south side, they are only 1000 ft or so from our troops and can easily stop everything from coming or going if they choose to. Google Maps says ‘Temporarily Closed’ at the moment.

If they really are that close it’s really a cluster. They can probably take out inbound and outbound aircraft just with shoulder launched SAMS. Hopefully they (Taliban) know this will be suicidal. But then again, do they care?
