A massive backlash against Coca-Cola sparked after the Georgia-based company’s CEO, James Quincey, said the recently-passed Georgia voting laws aimed at improving state election integrity are “unacceptable,” “wrong,” and “a step backward.”
Quincey, who joined Coca-Cola in 1996, criticized the new legislation, stating “we will continue to advocate” against the new laws “both in private and … public.” Many took to Twitter to voice their discontent with his statements.
“The guy who peddles sugar water that makes you obese wants to control the way you think,” author Buzz Patterson wrote:
“Patriots will choose another beverage,” Laura Ingraham noted. “Big mistake by CocaCola. Don’t poke the bear.”:
“I guess the BeLessWhite training wasn’t an anomaly,” author Jim Hanson wrote, referencing a recent report describing Coca-Cola ‘anti-racism’ training materials that reportedly instructed employees to “be less white.”
“The majority of Americans favor voter ID,” actress Alana Stewart commented. “Boycotts work both ways.”
“Many patriotic Americans will no longer be buying Coke, including me. Bad move CocaCola,” she added:
“While Coca-Cola savages Georgia for lawfully enacting election integrity, they celebrate an unconstitutional executive decree legalizing an illegal workforce,” Stephen Miller, former Advisor to President Trump, wrote.
“Wouldn’t it be nice if major corporations were loyal to the American People?” he added:
“CocaCola CEO FALSELY claims Georgia’s new voting law doesn’t guarantee broad access or ensure election integrity, caving to the ‘woke’ left,” Senator Roger Wicker posted.
Commentator and podcast host Stephen L. Miller shared an image of a New York Times essay titled “Nike and Coca-Cola Lobby Against Xinjiang Forced Labor Bill,” which details how major companies have been “pressing Congress to alter legislation cracking down on imports of goods made with forced labor from persecuted Muslim minorities in China.”
Leftists want election fraud,” conservative actor Nick Searcy wrote.

After Coke spoke out, Stacy Abrams drank five Coke Big Gulps to celebrate her incipient diabetes.

These ALSO need to be boycotted
Sure hope anheuser-busch doesn’t get woke
One problem for these big-name advertisers if that with the unreported inflation many of us are looking at generic brands of everything (and in most cases, the cheaper substitute is acceptable). There are a few exceptions, but basically the companies were already moving into the unaffordable zone for many normals.
I have no brand loyalty at all, buying the cheapest acceptable alternative while specifically avoiding some companies.
My favorite soft drink used to be Diet Coke. Now I wouldn’t buy a Coke product under any circumstances. Their ‘be less white’ thing is the most blatantly racist garbage I’ve ever seen. They hate me, I hate them right back.
HasPepsi gone woke yet?
This one is choosing ANY other beverages.
And we used to drink Schweppes in addition to Coke.
But guess what?
There are lots of smaller soda producers around!
And some are really good!
I’m discovering a lot of small name beverage makers out there with a lot of great tasting product.
Prices are often a bit higher.
But if that isn’t a deal breaker, check them out.
Coca-Cola is living in the past. They still think everybody wants a Coke product. Not necessarily. I haven’t drank a full bottle of Coke in over 20 years. Too harsh on my throat and in my stomach. No thanks. Canada Dry Ginger Ale or Fresca is all I’ll drink now
There are many others like me.
This isn’t like decades back when actress Joan Crawford sat on the board of directors. Coke was king back then.
“Good bye, Woke-a Cola. No more of your poisons will touch my lips.”
Yup. I sent the fool a letter, hand written and told him his decision to alienate about half the population of the USA is strong evidence of his not being suited for the job of running a major Corporation.
I also informed him my entire family will no longer purchase any Coca Cola products and they have lost a faithful customer of over 70 yrs because of what can only be described as the most monumental case of short sighted stupidity on record.
Fact check: PepsiCo pledges $400M to supporting social programs in Black communities
tldr: While Pepsi did NOT donate to BLM, it "announced that we will be investing more than $400 million over 5 years to address issues of inequality and create opportunities." It will include a "contribution to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund to support the struggle for social justice."
Whatever all that means.
Coke = diabetes.
While Coke isn’t in any remote danger of insolvency, it has largely seen declining revenues since 2012 and (mostly) negative market-share growth during the same period of time. Its revenue is roughly where it was in 2008/2009, which isn’t encouraging.
But, it says quite a bit that they’re less afraid of alienating a significant chunk of consumers than they are afraid of Stacy Abrams.
“There are lots of smaller soda producers around!
And some are really good!”
I’m done with Coke and yesterday I rediscovered what used to be my all time favorite soda, A&W Root Beer.
Pepsi is just as bleeding-heart as Coke
Drink what you like and don’t worry about the politics, they’re all idiots
