Mike Pence Breaks His Silence on Election

Too little too late… we don’t want to hear it…
Former Vice President Pence on Wednesday criticized the 2020 election in his his first extended written comments since leaving office in January.
Pence said there were “significant voting irregularities” and “numerous instances of officials setting aside state election law” in the 2020 presidential election.
The remarks were offered by Pence in an op-ed published by the Daily Signal, a publication run by the conservative Heritage Foundation. The context was an attack on H.R. 1, a voting rights bill the House is expected to pass on Wednesday, that Pence said would “increase opportunities for election fraud.”
" “Many of the most troubling voting irregularities took place in states that set aside laws enacted by state legislatures in favor of sweeping changes ordered by governors, secretaries of state, and courts.”“While legislators in many states have begun work on election reform to restore public confidence in state elections, unfortunately, congressional Democrats have chosen to sweep those valid concerns and reforms aside and to push forward a brazen attempt to nationalize elections in blatant disregard of the U.S. Constitution.”
There is nothing in the Constitution that spells out what would happen if he had withheld counting the votes until the election had been investigated. Accordingly, had he done so, it would have triggered a Constitution crisis.
That would have been preferable to what we now have.
It’s too bad he was too big a coward to to what was right.
Who gave authority to the state to certify fraud? Who would / could force Mike Pence to recognize fraudulent electors? The Constitution was not formed for ‘government’, ‘we the people’ are government and a citizen’s right to vote is about as sacred as any other ‘rights’ established.. Too many supposedly on the ‘right’, sure like to sell US out.
Vey classy way to say it. He not only failed to stand strong on principle, and failed to act for the nation, he choose to allow something to happen when he knew it was wrong. The last makes his actions memorable, if not immoral and illegal. He certified fraud, and he will have to answer to his maker, and truly know the damage it caused.
He attended the Biden inauguration and skipped President Trump’s departure ceremony.
What changed? What’s he trying to do now?
I think much more of a coward than a traitor, but perhaps both.
Enjoy your 40 pence of silver.
Got to be ‘blackmail’.. the guy is too vain to turn down 4 more years of the limelight.
Why now?
Guilt?
************
No, politicians don’t have guilt. They would have to be moral and ethical to feel guilt.
Pence is just another calculating politician whose sole concern is his image and electability.
Yeah, I don’t believe a word he says now. Get lost you pervert.
Looks like someone told him that Trump was the future!!!!
When our side follows the constitution and the law, but the other side ignores it, you lose.
The USCONST is not holy writ. Stop pretending it is.
Hey Mike, how about a hot steaming cup of STFU! Thanks for murdering America.
Pence tried to “do what he thought was right”.. and I go back to this quote I believe should have been used by him..
IF YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE PLAYING FAIR IN A WAR.. YOU WILL LOSE!.
Fight the enemy with wisdom and with everything at your disposal!
And adding.. the gov of my state made a decision months before it was shown what a bad decision it turned out to be..
Against public opinion.. he gave a senate seat to an unknown unseasonably woman and bypassed the one good man who wanted and had earned that seat.. Doug Collins.
By Nov the woman lost the seat to a dem.. a seat that Collins could have easily won.. and a seat that gave all 3 branches of gov to the dem party!!!
We lost the senate by that one decision Kemp made... money..prestige...politics... Kemp will pay for it next election!
“You mean the whistleblower account ****that a great many on FR are trashing***”
I’ve just spent a couple of hours reading the transcript. It is SO horrid that many individuals won’t want to believe that this could actually be going on. I’ve had enough experience with a corrupt state government and federal judge to recognize the behavior.
If we're to abandon the rule of law, we'll become Somalia. No thanks. That's not the answer. The answer is to hold Democrats to the same standard and expose and prosecute them - under the law - when they break the law.
I will not support anarchy.
Even this weak statement would have been better than what he actually did
And just who held a gun to Pence’s head and forced to certify those electors he knew were false?
I’m sick of you people who claim Pence was just doing his job. You are anti-Trumpers like Pence.
Pence had his chance to “fundamentally” impact American History and chose to hide like the rest of the swamp creatures.
The United States Constitution did, in Article II Sec 1: "Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector." There is zero requirement that the winner of the popular vote in the state get electoral votes from that state. Under the US Constitution, the state can appoint an infant as an elector and that infant can vote for Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse now has one electoral vote from that state. No amount of hand-wringing will change that.
"The Constitution was not formed for ‘government’, ‘we the people’ are government"
The United States Constitution is the highest law in the land. We all live under the law or we live in anarchy. To not support the US Constitution is to not support America. I will not support anarchy. I support the rule of law and prosecuting those who violate the rule of law, under the law, so we don't have to murder each other just to get breakfast.
