New UC Riverside research shows soybean oil not only leads to obesity and diabetes, but could also affect neurological conditions like autism, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, and depression.
Used for fast food frying, added to packaged foods, and fed to livestock, soybean oil is by far the most widely produced and consumed edible oil in the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In all likelihood, it is not healthy for humans.
Chart depicts consumption of edible oils in the U.S. for 2017/18. (USDA)

“I use Walnut oil myself.”
I use Walmart oil Too! Whatever is on sale.
I skimmed it.
They praised Trader Joes oils as among the best or truest of the brands surveyed. I’m not a fan myself ,but my wife likes the place.
I put a bottle of their extra v in the fridge and it did not
congeal. Olive oil is a mono-saturated fat. Such fats congeal when cold and become liquid at room temperature.
Maybe I misunderstood, but I heard it somewhere.
We use Canola oil for deep frying, Ghee for eggs, sauteing vegetables, real butter for toast and for when recipes call for butter, Butter flavored Coconut oil for both Ghee and Butter substitutes, and of course Popcorn! Olive oil for Italian dishes, salad dressing, etc. And lastly toasted Sesame seed oil for seasoning. We also have an air fryer that’s great for some kinds of foods.

Soybean oil is poison. Our Masters and Handlers sold us out forever ago, like putting MSG in potato chips. Thanks GW Bush. Your FDA did a wonderful job poisoning our entire food supply.
But hey, it is 1/10 of a penny cheaper per serving, and hey that adds up to big profits for all the fat cats and robber barons. The fact they have poisoned the entire populace through food additives and preservatives is a two fer — bigger profits and Big Medicine and Big Pharma have a much sicker populace to treat and medicate. It is a win-win-win for everybody but us.
Soybean oil is poison. It is flat evil to put it in our food supply, directly, or indirectly as feed stock.
I can’t use olive oil for salad dressing. It turns into a solid gel when refrigerated.
let the soy oil go for bio fuels and other non-food uses.
“You have to really watch what you are eating.”
Yeah, no wieners.
Ohh yummy ... cottonseed oil byproduct from raising cotton.
Let’s feed it to people. Slow poison.

I went carnivore about two years ago. Things started looking up. I’m 73, had my T checked, it was 521, a good number for a guy half my age.
You will do much better cutting the carbs and eating meat cooked in the lard. Sounds crazy but it’s not.
No longer have a need for mayo since going carnivore.
I use mostly butter. It’s my fat of choice.
