America’s most widely consumed oil causes genetic changes in the brain

New UC Riverside research shows soybean oil not only leads to obesity and diabetes, but could also affect neurological conditions like autism, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, and depression.

Used for fast food frying, added to packaged foods, and fed to livestock, soybean oil is by far the most widely produced and consumed edible oil in the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In all likelihood, it is not healthy for humans.

Chart depicts consumption of edible oils in the U.S. for 2017/18. (USDA)

Is there a mayo that isn’t, or will I have to make my own, since I’m sure I can procure the basic ingredients (eggs, etc.)?

‘mimics estrogen in men, resulting in “feminine characteristics”.’

Oh God forbid.

If that’s all you have to worry about, then it’s not worth worrying about.

There are more important things than that...thing....

"Kraft has an olive oil version - or at least they did. It is in a green label."

I know, Republican Wildcat, but even that one contains soybean oil.   Here's a list of the ingredients for that Kraft Olive Oil Mayonnaise I found online:

Water, Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Soybean Oil, Modified Food Starch*, Vinegar, Sugar, Maltodextrin*, Salt, Eggs, Natural Flavor, Mustard Flour, Lactic Acid*, Potassium Sorbate* (To Protect Flavor), Phosphoric Acid*, Dried Onions, Dried Garlic, Calcium Disodium EDTA (to protect flavor), Beta Carotene* (Color).

They are selling some brands now in major food stores that are made only with avocado oil, but even a small jar of those brands cost about $8 or $9.

The most delicious sandwich I've ever had was a ham and cheese sandwich in Paris. Instead of mayo they spread a just barely hardboiled egg along the length of the bread.

It was amazing.

Does this explain America’s current gender insanity?

I wouldn’t jump to accept the results of this study until it was proven that UC Riverside research isn’t funded by CCP.

They would have a motive to depress the price of soy.

Homemade mayo is not that hard to make.

GMO soy is bad.

Asians consume soy healthily. (Not oil.) Some in Japan living to a hundred with tofu/miso and fish heavy diets.

I like organic Soymilk and don’t care for all the dairy farmer and other alternative milk propaganda.

The “feminine characteristic” soy consumption produces is breasts. In particular: man boobs.

Yes.   Some I have found (which are supposedly good for keto), include "Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Mayonnaise", "Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Mayonnaise", and "Sir Kenisngton's Avocado Oil Mayonnaise", but they are all very expensive (about $8 or $9 for a small jar).

There are a bunch of recipes for homemade olive oil or avocado oil mayonnaise on the web -- just do a search for them, and you'll find a lot of them, but I believe it is pretty simple to make.   (You just have to make small quantities, so you can use them up before they go bad.)

I know, but it is my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong), that it's best to make it in very small quantities, as it tends to go bad fast, with those ingrediants (like raw eggs).

(I like the idea of having some mayonnaise that will last awhile in the fridge, before I have to go make another batch.)        :-)
