What is that? 6-8 Gs?
Lead-acid batteries have a high rate of recycling. Same is happening for EV batteries. Tesla already has arrangements in place for recycling all their EV batteries to recover their ingredients for new use.
It gives “Hold on” a new meaning.
LOL, sounds like that 1984 Ford Escort I bought out of desperation...the timing belt went in the middle of the Callahan Tunnel at rush hour...
Engine destroyed. New engine cost more than I paid for the car.
When I tried to call one of those “We pay cash to take your car away” guys, he said the Escort was a “throw away car”.
I don't know who your friend talked to, but replacement batteries cost about $1500. My daughter has a 2007 Nissan Altima hybrid, same technology as the Prius. Last year her battery began failing (after 12 years going back and forth in the USA from Iowa to California). She got it replaced for $1500 and the car runs like new now.
If .gov wants me to drive one, then .gov better buy it for me.
Pass.
Try taking one of those cars, not SUVs, out in 12” of snow.
I’ll stay with my Jeep GC HEMI.
What a nightmare.
My worst experience was long ago—dating a super hot young women when my water pump failed in the middle of rush hour traffic.
She was plus p(*&ed—and I was toast.
1400 HP!
It’s gonna be pretty damned funny watching people with No Electricity trying to figure out how to charge their car up. 10 years at best til the power runs dry, at least in the west
“. From what little I know ...”
I support that!
Electric Hummer with 4 motors. I would buy one right now if it was available and if I had the money. I love my little Kona Electric from Hyundai.

ROTFLMAO!
Where is the extra power generation going to come from without nuclear or fossil?
Whst about the transmission lines?
Yeah I’m sure the chicoms are all over that. Lol
The F150 is the fist EV I’ve had any interest in — using it as a generator frees the trailer from plugs. Game changer.
“I support that!”
Thank you. I’m also an athlete....would you consider being my athletic supporter also? Bwahahaha!
Nope, 28 times.
