It’s gonna be pretty damned funny watching people with No Electricity trying to figure out how to charge their car up. 10 years at best til the power runs dry, at least in the west

Yep you can't run get a couple gallons of petro and be on the road again..
Major power outages will be a factor. I assume they could have back
up generators to provide charging but not sure.

I guess the world may be in for the next change.. How about nuclear?

All the pessimism! I bought an electric car and I quite enjoy owning it. I didn’t install a charger in my house and I can drive all over town without paying a cent for electricity. I know where the free electricity is found and I haven’t paid a cent for charging my car since Thanksgiving. And then it was because I took a trip up the coast from Arcata CA to Astoria OR during Thanksgiving week. I paid about half for electricity than I would have for gasoline. It helps to not be in a hurry because it can take several hours each day to charge. But right now I go to the super Walmart at 10 pm and charge for 45 minutes every other day. And I don’t pay for the electricity. Sorry to everyone else who pays the taxes that allow me to leech.

Where are they going to get all those charging stations? Right now there are maybe 2 at some grocery stores. The fights over these charging stations will bring back memories of the fights in the Jimmy Carter gas lines.
