Actually, the NRA is in trouble. It’s more than a restructuring.

Wayne LaPierre building a huge multi million dollar mansion/compound for himself in Texas didn’t help. Time for wayne to go.

PGR88: NRA suffered from the “DC Disease” too much easy money, too much bureaucracy, too many high-paying, useless jobs, and the arrogance one gets from living in DC and being close to the organs of power.

usconservative: Or more succinctly stated: Wayne LaPierre disease.

Not to mention all of the gun owners who whine and complain about the NRA, without posting a single link to an alternative group (such as GOA).

From the article

He added that the organization has no plans at this time to move the NRA headquarters from Fairfax, Virginia.

Not to say that couldn't change in the future.

Wayne’s gotta go before they get any more money from me.
May have to switch to GOA

wow... joe biden made good on one of his promises. defeating the NRA.

The NRA defeated itself. Now, it's moved into the territory of the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA). Perhaps there can be a peaceful cohabitation.

My only thought, is that Texas seems to be headed toward teetering in five to ten years also.

Not to get off subject, but governor Abbot had something interesting to say regarding this. It seems the state has been keeping track of people coming in and going out, and how they are voting. In short, he states that the majority of people coming in are conservatives escaping the liberal hellholes, and liberals are actually leaving Texas. He had some election numbers to back up his claims.

That is what I would expect to happen, but around here you
always hear that everyone moving in is voting for Communists.

When Californians leave their state, does anyone really think
they are voting for the B.S. the people in California have
been voting for?

If I leave, it will be to escape the stench in California.

I have never voted for Communist ideology and I’m not going
to start in the future.

Good for Abbott. Thanks for the mention.

Now, if they could only fumigate Austin and other places.

Perhaps they should cut down on their fundraising postal budget.

OMG yes. I have told them specifically that I do not want any physical mail from them, and they keep sending it.

This might be a good time to disband the “NRA wine club”.

I told them when they called me, that if they would follow the example of the Salvation Army, where I could give anonymously, I’d be happy to give them three times the price of signing up.

Not sure why they called me, as I have never belonged, don’t personally own a gun—my Dad had a few and was a member, but not me.

Bankruptcy? How many millions in dues to they collect per year? How much do the big wigs make and how many big wigs are there?

Maybe you could post a few pictures from that era.
