[Second, if someone attempts to break into my home, armed or not, I assume they’re not there for tea and crumpets and open fire.]

And you’d be serving decades in prison or on Death Row if it was evident that the intruder posed no threat. The Castle Doctrine is not a license for First Degree Murder. And these men were law enforcement professionals, not soldiers in a combat zone. You may feel that anyone not allowed on a given property ought to be killed. That was certainly the justification offered at Tiananmen Square, where the regime’s leadership ordered its seat of power cleared, with tanks and machine gun fire, of demonstrators who defied instructions to disperse.

By your reckoning everyone who stepped into the Capitol building yesterday was subject to summary execution. Federal troops who were pelted with lethal projectiles and pyrotechnics defending Federal building in a number of US cities did not use lethal force even though it would have been justified. This was a political assassination and you are in the side of the thugs, not the rule of law.

"The destruction of property, in this case, did not warrant Deadly Force."

She wasn't even the one who had broken the window in the door. That had been done earlier from what I understand. I think she was climbing up to get a better look inside. The door was barricaded, and she probably couldn't see the armed men standing on either side of the door. Being a 14 year military veteran, if she'd seen them, I highly doubt she would have proceeded. It was outright murder.

A gathering of a group of people in one area, for a peaceful protest, is a First Amendment right.

America cherishes her long history of protests.

ANY protest can contain angry people, but we don’t summarily deny the right of angry people to protest peacefully.

Just about every outlet that mentions this labels her as a ‘rioter’ or ‘insurrectionist’ so the chances of anyone getting charged and convicted for shooting her is somewhere between zilch and none.

First, if you think this woman and the mob behind her aren’t an antifa false flag operation, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

There is no doubt that ANTIFA thugs were involved in this event.

Second, if someone attempts to break into my home, armed or not, I assume they’re not there for tea and crumpets and open fire.

Depends on where you are as to what the consequences would be, but this was not a home, it's a public building, and she was unarmed.

Now take into account that she was planning to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power that is vital for the functioning of our Republic.

This is what a protest is -- left or right. All they accomplished was a delay. No one had illusions this transfer would be cancelled (outside of Q-nuts).

She is a thug...

This woman was a veteran who served her country and volunteered for four tours in a combat zone.

What did she think would happen if she tried to break into the Capitol?

She should have expected to possibly be arrested -- like a number of other protesters around the country have been, even those who had been violent or destroyed property. I'm pretty certain she didn't expect she'd be murdered.

I’m not shedding any tears that she got her wish.

This is a very callous and hard way of looking at this.

Conservatives used to be the party of law and order. What happened to that?

Conservatives have been a sleeping lion for a long time now. You can only poke the lion with a stick so many times before they wake up and lash out.

You have a very unfortunate view of what has happened.

Maybe he be shamed, ridiculed, primaried, and so upset he never again runs for any officer whatsoever.

Look what they did to bar owner Jake Gardner? He ended up committing suicide.

I think that Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin’s (R) appearance on Fox was to show the leadership that he can be a ‘good water carrier.’

I'm not going to defend anybody for jumping through a Capitol window.

That said, your description of her minor distruption of the transfer of power that was gained through criminal activity, corruption and the threat of force is utterly nauseating.

And if you think that our Republic is "functioning" then you're clueless.

“And when he [drew] his weapon, that’s a decision that’s very hard for anyone to make, and, once you draw your weapon like that, you have to defend yourself with deadly force.”

Total nonsense. If this was true, then any police could justify shooting anyone they wanted because “well, I’d already drawn my gun so I had no choice but to shoot them”.

So all the officers are dead then.

Because they didn’t have a choice. It was them or us. Obviously, in their excellent judgement, they are all now dead since the door was breached. Right?

I must have missed the part where the Tiananmen Square protesters were interfering with the workings of a Constitutional Republic. These rioters will be lucky not to be charged with sedition.

there was a lot of members and staff that were in danger at the time>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

False.

The BLM and ANTIFA rioters in Seattle killed people. They were not even prosecuted.

They were in no danger from Ashli Babbitt. They were on the other side of a barrier. She was just standing there and they shot her in cold blood, You can see the video!

Look for yourself while they are still up:

Here are two videos, different angles.

"They are trained not to take that shot."

We were told that if we pulled the trigger of our weapon, we'd better know where that bullet was going to end up. If Air Force Vet Ashli Babbitt didn't see those armed men inside, and I believe she didn't, those inside couldn't see if there was anyone behind her either, but one of them chose to shoot anyway, not knowing where his shot would end up if it passed through her or missed her. The thing that pisses me off is that this woman and her family will never get justice. Her killer will get away Scott free.

"So if he had to shoot, why not the knee? He shot to kill."

Didn't Biden say that police officers should shoot an armed perp in the leg? This woman was unarmed, but was shot in the neck or chest.
