[Second, if someone attempts to break into my home, armed or not, I assume they’re not there for tea and crumpets and open fire.]
And you’d be serving decades in prison or on Death Row if it was evident that the intruder posed no threat. The Castle Doctrine is not a license for First Degree Murder. And these men were law enforcement professionals, not soldiers in a combat zone. You may feel that anyone not allowed on a given property ought to be killed. That was certainly the justification offered at Tiananmen Square, where the regime’s leadership ordered its seat of power cleared, with tanks and machine gun fire, of demonstrators who defied instructions to disperse.

I must have missed the part where the Tiananmen Square protesters were interfering with the workings of a Constitutional Republic. These rioters will be lucky not to be charged with sedition.

We should dub the guy, "The Tiananmen Square Copycat Killer."
