By your reckoning everyone who stepped into the Capitol building yesterday was subject to summary execution. Federal troops who were pelted with lethal projectiles and pyrotechnics defending Federal building in a number of US cities did not use lethal force even though it would have been justified. This was a political assassination and you are in the side of the thugs, not the rule of law.

Hmm, so cops are thugs but the people breaking through barricades, opening fire on the House and Senate floors, looting the Speaker's podium, and bringing zip ties with which to kidnap elected officials somehow are not?
