A new report from CNN says former White House chief of staff John Kelly has unloaded on his former boss in very stark terms in private.
Since leaving the Trump administration, Kelly has made a few public comments criticizing President Donald Trump and his conduct in office, though hes been more muted than others who have spoken out about their time working for Trump.
Jake Tapper reported Friday on a quote from Kelly about the president that he has apparently told people close to him:
The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though its more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life.

I look at his record and I’m more than happy with what he’s accomplished.
“My opinion of Marine officers (Chesty Puller excluded) has not changed since my days in the Corps. At best, useless. At worst, dangerous. Give me a good Gunny any day of the week.”
Reminds me of this clip from The Pacific:

[Despite his criticisms of the Obama Administration, McChrystal is actually a political and social liberal who voted for Obama. In fact, he is so left-wing that he banned the Fox News Channel from the television sets in his headquarters.[8]]
I am swamp creature hear me roar.......
Certainly would not want to be in a foxhole with that bastard.
Kelly is the MOST DESPICABLE PERSON EVER!
Thanks for this ping Leni. I will plan to watch on CNN...ugh.
I stopped reading after “CNN.”
Well that settles it, I’m voting for the guy who sold us out to the Communist Chinese. /s
I found this once, but I have searched, for years, in vain, for the original -
“Generals, like poets, are an angry race.”
This is a riff of course, on Richard Francis Burtons’
“Travellers, like poets, are mostly an angry race.”
The context is that generals’ memoirs tend to be filled with complaints about other generals, and their superiors.
Isn’t the term “transaction” a good thing?
I don’t think I’ll ever vote for another non-transactional President again. I want what I pay for.
And he wants to draft your 18 year old daughters.
A “flawed” individual that has delivered more promises and accomplished more in his first term than any other President that I ever voted for.
Maybe that’s what we need more of in the District of Corruption—”flawed” individuals who will put American and citizens of the USA first.
Oh gee! Comin from CNN!
We all make mistakes. Trump made a mistake in believing Kelly was a man of substance. He is not. He has embarrassed himself and shown himself to be a quisling.
No question Trump is deeply flawed. But no other president has done as much for conservatives or exposed the rats nest as he has. So Ill take him.
I will take a flawed Trump over a flawed backstabbing, disloyal ex employee such as Kelly. We of course know that all of mankind is flawed to some degree. Actually, I do not see Pres Trump as flawed when it comes to working his hardest to defend this US Republic. It is those Americans who vote to be governed by the commie democrat party, which is fighting to destroy this Republic, who are fatally flawed.
