For all his soaring rhetoric, former President Barack Obama really is nothing more than a typical, cheap Washington politician brimming with false promises. And Joe Biden is even worse. He is Barack Obama minus the pretty talk.

Which is why Mr. Obama is working furiously now to paper over the nasty split inside the Democratic Party over picking Mr. Biden to be its nominee for president. For the second time in a row, the party poobahs pulled out all the stops to block Sen. Bernie Sanders, the socialist from Vermont, from being their party’s standard-bearer in November.

“If you look at Joe Biden’s goals and Bernie Sanders’ goals, they’re not that different from a 40,000-foot level,” Mr. Obama told the New Yorker magazine.

The President of the Obama Foundation is Adewale Adeyemo, a Nigerian Economist who also served in th Obama admin.

It's a huge myth that the part cheated to make Bernie lose. In 2016, more primary voters voted for Hillary, that's all there was to it. And this year Sanders started strong, but once he got to a state with more than seven black people, he fell apart.

In 2008, Hillary won the popular vote in the primary, but Obama won the superdelegates, etc.

By contrast, First Lady Melania’s powerful keynote speech at the Republican Convention showcased “her mother’s heart”.....

You raise an interesting point worthy of speculation, and I'll split it with you:

That is likely so at least on an hourly basis, but isn't it like saying, "he is no longer in the Mafia"? There are still powerful people of means that "speak with him"; people who can deliver the top spot at the UN. (Which would provide one hell of a foil for a Pres. Biden.)

Broadly speaking, that too is almost certain, which probably scares the hell out of some.

Bottom line IMO is he remains a somewhat eloquent spokesman/player for the "remaking" of America.
