President Donald Trump said that he would “swap out” Goodyear tires from his presidential limousine nicknamed “The Beast” after earlier calling for the company to be boycotted.
“On the Goodyear issue, you ride on Goodyear tires in the presidential limousine. If there were an alternative, you want those tires swapped out?” asked Fox News White House correspondent John Roberts during a Wednesday press conference.
Trump responded, “Yeah, I would do that. I would swap them out based on what I heard. We’ll see what happens. Look. you’re going to have lot of people not wanting to buy that product anymore. They’ll buy it from a competitor — made in the USA, too.”

On VIP protection units like those they change the tires *frequently* to avoid problems. So it won’t be long.
I agree. It is like people who dumped absolut vodka down the drain several years ago. They did this after they already paid for it. I’d drink it but then buy no more.

Imagine him going to the tire shop in a pair of coveralls and changing them himself. Throw in a few swearwords and the working stiff would love it.
I feel bad for all the owner/operators running Goodyear stores. They didn't ask to be a part of this sh*tshow.
Some assclown in Akron bought into the "silence = violence" mantra that says political neutrality is not allowed and decided Goodyear needed to be woke and now a lot of good people who just wanted to sell tires are paying the price.

Kind of hard to “clarify” when we’ve seen the powerpoint. Whoever developed that slide will be “gone”. Why? Because they got caught and embarrassed the Company.
Their mistake was being too specific on the slides. The slide should have been more generic on the slide. The speaker can then state those bullet points verbally. The preparer of those slides wasn’t sneaky and devious enough.

Because the political value of replacing them now is orders of magnitude greater than the cost, which, in any event, is utterly insignificant in the context of federal budgeting.

I hope he puts some Cooper Tires on there. Trump 2020 and Cooper Tires all the way. Good Year tires are trash.
Looks like Goodyear is about to lose their military contract supplying tires for our armored vehicles.
