AUSTIN (KXAN) — For the first time in more than a month, a statewide poll has found President Donald Trump ahead of former Vice President Joe Biden in Texas.
The YouGov poll, commissioned by Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation and Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, surveyed 846 registered voters in Texas from August 4-13. Trump had a 7-point lead over Biden, 47.5% to 40.5%, among all voters surveyed and a 5-point lead among most-likely voters, 49.4% to 44.1%.
One in 10 voters remains undecided, according to the poll.
Before the release of the most recent YouGov poll, Biden had topped Trump in four of the last five statewide polls in Texas.
The poll also examined the U.S. Senate race in Texas between incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican, and Democratic challenger MJ Hegar. Cornyn leads Hegar by 7 points, 44.4% to 37.4%, among all voters with 12.9% of voters undecided.

What worries me is if Biden would fly down to Texas and do a 6 city swing and then do press interviews for hours. LOL, sometimes I crack myself up.
The actual vote will be closer to +17 for Trump.
Yeah, there’s probably a lot of people in Austin that are flipping out now that the police are going to be gutted.
That means it’s actually probably around the same +9 by which Trump won Texas in 2016.
Interesting that it is only Trump +5 among likely voters. Usually, likely voters break Republican, although I don’t know if that is normally the case in YouGov polls. I guess it all depends on how “likely voters” are identified.

Don’t fall for this. The polls are tightening now by design. The dem handlers want to next show Grabem and Kamaltoe with a convention bump in the polls.
This is all scripted for the masses.
People are sick and tired about what is going on and are expressing that by fessing up to the pollsters, instead of telling a fib because they are shamed for supporting Trump.
Trump will win Texas bigly.
They are lowering the fake polls prior to the DNC convention, so they can say that the DNC caused a bump for Joe Biden.
If we win everything the Republicans will piss it away because they’re too busy stuffing their pockets to be bothered with the country.

They will paint the DNC convention as a resounding success. No matter how horrible it is.
