I have mixed emotions: on the one hand, Murkowski is not wrong (God, how I HATE saying that) and we ought not to appear to be a bunch of hypocritical SOBs; but, OTOH, the Dems play dirty EVERY single time they get the opportunity and I’m sick to death of playing by the Marquis de Queensberry’s Rules when they play by whatever rules that they find convenient at any point in time.
You know what...screw it, nominate and confirm away. The Dems will NEVER play fair, and it is way past time for them to get some payback for all of the crap that they’ve pulled for the last 30+ years. Murkowski knows that this is the pick that will actually change the Supreme Court. Until now, she knew that Roberts was there to protect killing babies and that he had the power to stop any ruling that offends the deep state too much.
