If a seat becomes available, she can either vote for Trumps nominee
or vote against Trumps nominee.

What about between the election and the inauguration? There's no filibuster on SCOTUS nominees.

That would depend on who won. If Trump lost, not a chance.

would create a “double standard”

Oh comme on Lisa. You RINOs can't go all moral on us now. You RINOs connive with the left to create multiple standards or no standards at all. You are a specialist in being guided by double standards. Ethics? You? Surely this is a pieces in the Babylon Bee.

The dems blew all credibility with the failed coup attempt and the truck loads of lies they told in the process. Dems had their chance to speak and be listened to and they blew it with their constant lies.

Now, no one gives one single damn what they think. SCOTUS will be enhanced with conservatives if there is a opportunity.

It is a double standard to accuse others of double standards when one's primary standard is the double standard.

it's also projection, but that is not a standard, that is more of a personality disorder when what's being projected is one's own evil thoughts and ways, you racist baby killers.

Lisa needs to join Biden in the Cognitive Skills Test.

In 2016 Republicans controlled the Senate and Democrats the President.

In 2020 Republicans controlled the Senate and the President.

Big difference Lisa!!!!!

McConnell said, Obama was a lame duck and whoever was elected in November would be able to choose.

The electorate will decide in November whether the President's a lame duck or not.

So there's no logic to it other than it's what McConnell said?

Hail Mitch!

This Senate will not confirm a USSC nominee before the election. It’s a waste of time discussing it.

Agree one hundred per cent. There is no way that will happen if RBG... vacates her position.

If Trump lost, not a chance.

Are you sure? McConnell only needs 50 and you can be sure he would try.

This Senate will not confirm a USSC nominee before the election.

Why? All it takes is a vote.

There is no requirement in the constitution to hold hearings. If you don’t have a debate, there is no bringing up of dirt on the nominee. If Trump nominates a judge schedule the vote the next day and the press has no chance to tear up the nominee.

All McConnell has to do is schedule a vote.

If the recent years have taught us anything, there are NO rules. When you have the power, you use it before you lose it.

And I can think of half a dozen who would vote against him. Romney, Murkowski, Alexander, Collins, and a few more who really hate Trump.

Merrick Garland is like the liberals love that got away...kinda like Rosebud... My next-door neighbor STILL moons over Garland...

Let's go back to Miguel Estrada. No he wasn't nominated to SCOTUS but the DC Court of Appeals. The Dems held his nomination in limbo for over two years. He finally withdrew his name from consideration.
