She was born in California. Her father had immigrated from Jamaica about 3 years before, I believe. I don’t know his citizenship status at the time.
The Democrat party line, I believe, is that “natural born citizen” has absolutely no special meaning and has nothing to do with parents. It’s like an anchor baby. If the kid is born on US soil, they can be president.
