The Court of Master Sommeliers is getting rid of the word "master" in common practice. It's typical for master sommeliers to be referred to as "Master" followed by their last name, but the prestigious wine organization is changing that in an attempt to make the wine industry more inclusive.

When I saw this come up on other postings, I realized that the Chess Players have a real problem here and need to change NOW! Traditional pieces are black and white and the board is light and dark squares. White always moves first - can you say "white advantage"? Skilled players are 'masters' up to Grandmaster (does that come with a whip?)

A quick search of the web for 'master' gives so many other opportunities for change! Master Chef, Master Chief, Dive Master, Master Plan and "mastering a skill" for just a small selection! Oh, and lets not forget Golf's "The Masters" in Georgia yet!

When the WOKE finish this, it will make the legendary "Great Vowel Shift" seem like a piker!
