Louisville Metro police said no charges have been filed against the driver of a car that hit a protester in downtown Louisville Wednesday morning after she was identified.
Multiple videos captured the 46-year-old woman hit a protester with her car and driving off after several people attempted to stop her from continuing on Liberty Street.
A video provided to WHAS11 shows protesters telling a different car to turn around before her car approaches the intersection. Protesters then tell her to turn around, however her car does not move.
Three protesters can be seen gathering at the driver's window, though it is not clear what was said. In an arrest citation, the woman said they reached into her car, scratched her window and assaulted her, pulling out a dreadlock. The video shows the driver back up her car as the altercation takes place.
According to the arrest citation, the driver said she saw one person with a gun and drove forward, stating that "she was in fear for her life."
Louisville Metro police released footage captured on Real Crime Center cameras that shows the moment she drove off as several protesters run toward her car. The driver hits one person and continues down Liberty Street.
Cameras then captured the aftermath of the crash, showing people run down Liberty Street after the car. In a later recording, a different protester runs to the car and appears to point a gun at the driver. She drives away.

Winning stupid prizes.
If this was Death Race 2000, “protestors” would be worth a cool 500 points each.
“in fear for my lie” is a good defense.
And with the volatility of these traffic-blocking mobs, I’d go with presumption of innocence. It’s not like she blasted in there at high speed with intent to injure. She was accosted, and trapped as long as her car was stopped.
Bam ! That will teach him to stay out of the street.
Unless Bo Derrick was operating the car, the driver was black.
“What happened to the laws that were passed saying that protestors could not obstruct traffic and drivers had the right to keep on going?”
What ever happened to people actually reading the article!
“Gee, you think the cops will arrest the dirtball who pointed a gun at her?”
Gee, you would think one would read the article ...
I will guarandamtee you that if you get in FRont of my car and I feel that my life is threatened, I WILL run over you!
TAKE IT TO THE BANK!
“That was beautiful. Should have backed up for a couple more.”
Not with a dude with a gun near.
Yes, but under the new "oblm" rules, being afraid just because there are 5 black guys surrounding your car and banging on it is just RASSSISSSST!
You post like laws today actually have meaning.
All bets were off the moment the animals tried to pull her out of the car.
Your car IS YOUR CARRY WEAPON in that circumstance.
Kentucky is not New York. They DO have meaning here. It’s one of the reasons I moved here from Seattle.
You are damn right her fear was justified. Hospital admittance records will bear this out. if I was driving and a mod tried to stop me, their asses are run over. Anyone who stops for them is a fool and most likely a dead or maimed fool.
Agreed.
The law protects the rioters. The laws are now to protect the rioters from you. We are now at the same spot that the Jews in Germany were in the 1930s. Should the Hitler Youth, SS. or any Aryan beat hell out of you or maim you the German Police watched. Should you[the Jew] defend yourself, the German Police went into action. Against you. But we are in denial of that. In spite incidences after incidence, after incidence of this happen on video tape.
Yes, it seems that she must have been black. Just shows that blacks are no way the beneficiaries of this madness (which is coordinated and egged on by white people anyway).
From the article “LMPD also said 17 people were arrested Wednesday morning. Police said officers confiscated one gun and towed five cars.”
This is a nice change from what we’ve been hearing.
Should have mowed down a dozen or so.
he would not have been arrested if he had shot her.
