An arrest warrant has been issued in the murder of Dominique "Rem'mie" Fells, a Philadelphia black transgender woman. Authorities believe 36-year-old Akhenaton Jones is responsible for Fells' murder, according to CBS Philadelphia.
Fells' family is hoping anyone who knows Jones' whereabouts will come forward. "Turn him in! This was a gruesome death," Fells' aunt, Germyce Williams, told CBS Philadelphia. "How anybody could do this to another human being is just so heartless and cruel. No mother should have to go through this, and I'm speaking for my sister-in-law.

Years ago, in California, a transgender teen was murdered, apparently because he fooled some intoxicated guys into having anal sex with him by saying “she” was on her period. When the truth came out, the guys freaked out, including a couple who thought they were now going to be gay. The teen was beaten to death. Messing with people’s emotions and passion is very dangerous and what is obvious sometimes isn’t at other times. I say be out and proud or you are transphobic.
