State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R) of Butler County is slated to propose a resolution calling for the impeachment of Gov. Tom Wolf (D), contending that the governor has violated a number of our God-given rights affirmed in the United States Constitution.
Metcalfe sent a memo to colleagues on Friday, asking them to cosponsor his measure to impeach the governor over his administrations response to the coronavirus in the Keystone State. In the memo, Metcalfe states that Wolfs order mandating the closure of physical locations of all businesses that he has deemed non-life sustaining has violated our citizens rights in many devastating ways.
His order constitutes a taking of property from business owners without just compensation. The lack of due process and judicial review permitted under his order also violates the Constitution, he said, adding that the stay-at-home order has violated Pennsylvanians rights to free speech and assembly.
The Butler County Republican also told colleagues that the Wolf administration has lacked transparency as agencies under his control have stopped responding to requests for records and his office has refused to provide vital information a reference to the shadowy business waiver program allowing certain nonessential businesses to apply for exemptions to operate while the stay-at-home order remains in place. The Department of Community and Economic Development only granted waivers to 6,123 businesses, and the administration has yet to provide the criteria used to determine which businesses were granted waivers.
His delays and obfuscation have been, and continue to be, entirely unacceptable, Metcalfe said....The governor must be held accountable for his actions that have harmed so many of our citizens and violated so many of our rights, the state lawmaker added. No individual or office is above the law.

I’m not saying Metcalfe is a bad guy. Merely that the GOP in this state is doing it’s usual feckless thing where they avoid taking the action that will actually achieve something.
“It takes a 2/3 vote to impeach:
State Senate 28 R - 21 D - 1 Indy
State House: 110 R - 93 D”
In my books it would only take 12 mad as hell Dems to take action against that tyrant.
I am sick for this nation.
“...Im not saying Metcalfe is a bad guy. ...”
No, I didn’t think you were.
Sorry if I wasn’t clear; I was merely stating that he’s definitely on the right side of things, one of the few in the PA GOP with a set of balls.
I’m praying that the backlash is gaining momentum and is the sign of providential intervention in this election year.
I so hope that the growing outrage over the shutdowns comes back to haunt the Dems and people see that Trump is the sensible one. It would be so nice to see the Dems pay a heavy price with unhappy voters after trying to pin the blame on Trump.
Oh I think these Governors holding people in check are finding people aren’t buying their reasons for sustaining even the restrictions.
But, you don’t see the huge anti-Abbott demonstrations like you do in Michigan.
The governors. like PDJT, have to walk a fine line, they are going to be blamed regardless. Managing the blame is as important as managing the pandemic. Democrats can be more blatant because they never get called on their crimes
I think the days of legislating our already won freedoms is over. Were slapped repeatedly in the face as our rights are crapped upon. Then we have to jump through hoops to get a small portion of whats promised us in the constitution. Our forefathers took their freedoms by force.
We shouldnt have to beg for whats ours
[[[Michigan is planning on taking their governor to the SCOTUS. The more they complain the worse she makes their lives. Power hungry Sick woman.]]]
They elected a Borderline Personality Disorder Psychotic as governor.
[[[New Yorkers wont act against Cuomo, he taps into their feel good emotions while he hands out free candy so all is good.]]]
Far too much stupidity here especially with suburban women.
I watched a major transformation of family members when they moved to Pittsburgh Suburbs. The Liberal mindset is toxic to those it comes in contact with.
We can play this game too. I like how Trump has taught the Republican Party that they can actually do something besides just go on Fox and whine.
Gov. Wolf takes shots at neighboring states reopening beaches...
I wouldnt go to the beach, Wolf said Monday during his press briefing. There are people not wearing masks and putting yourself at risk......Im not sure why the governors of Maryland and New Jersey have opened their beaches, but they have, Wolf said ‘with a sigh’......
FYI.... nursing homes and long-term care facilities ... Of the 4505 total Covid-19 deaths in Pennsylvania, 3,086, or just under 70%, have been in those facilities.

LOL I posted this on my facebook
I am sick of the pronouns, it’s a he. No matter how much drugs and mutilation and dress up he uses.
‘Apparently the Legislature can end Wolfs state of emergency by passing a joint resolution.’
if I’m not mistaken (quite a possibility) they cannot do so until the 90 day term has expired, on June 4...
