The ACLU argues some patrons don't have the ID he has ordered to be collected by the restaurant and therefore is discriminatory.

What about that right to privacy, which is so sacred that doctors cannot report abortion-related deaths to the government health agencies? You forfeit that when go out to eat?

“...some patrons don’t have the ID”
I’m going to look at this development differently. First of all, who really doesn’t have ID? ACLU is fighting this not for privacy reasons but because it undermines their arguments against requiring Voter ID to vote.

Not really
Looks like they’re only complaining because not everyone has the proper ID
Not because the whole idea is blatantly unconstitutional

First of all, who really doesnt have ID? According to Liberals, it's pretty much every minority voter in the country
And it's racist to even ask

But to my knowledge, they said not a word when Comrade Governor Beshear of Kentucky had the State Police go out and record license plate numbers of people who attended church one Sunday.

Such hypocrisy. An ID needed for a Happy Meal but not to vote.

Somebody finally woke up the ACLU? They've been asleep through the biggest threat to civil liberty in this country in decades.
More confirmation that whatever the ACLU used to stand for, today it's nothing more than another Democrat interest group.
To: A44MAGNUT
The ACLU is protecting their “ID is discriminatory” thing for election crap. Because if it’s allowed here, then it’s gotta be allowed for stopping people from voting 100 times...
To: hanamizu
The ACLU got it right but for all the wrong reasons. However any push back from whatever source is helpful. This state is still waiting on a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Tacoma and not Seattle for obvious reasons on 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendment violations and a lawsuit filed with the Washington Supreme Court to reopen the schools. U.S. Attorney General Barr has not answered written pleas to his office about the oppression going on. The medical community says nothing about the HIPAA violations that will ocurr with Inslee’s orders. Rebellious small business owners are having their business licenses yanked and threatened with arrest and jail. This state under Inslee is out of control.

Here’s the rule:
..............
If the establishment offers table service, create a daily log of all customers and maintain that daily log for 30 days, including telephone/email contact information, and time in. This will
facilitate any contact tracing that might need to occur.
...............
Okay, my grand-daughters want to go to Chuck E. Cheese (or any other restaurant). With what ID? It’s nearly all kids too young for IDs, much less cell phones or email addresses.
..............
The rule says “all customers”............no wiggle room there.
...............
It is obviously discriminatory. The purpose is to find sick people.....using private people to do it. Let’s ay someone comes up sick, the record of their visit is now a health record. Maintained by a restaurant?
................
That’s a violation of Federal law on patient records. All restaurants would be absolutely liable criminally and civily for the safekeeping of those records.
