Fascinating paper on the possible connection through trade or war between the Central Mexico empire of Tiotihuacan and the Mayan City of Tikal, 1000km away.

When I was much younger, I made it to the top of both big pyramids at Teotihuacan, the sun and the moon. It’s a tough climb up both. At the top of each there were a kids selling bottles of Coke. Don’t know how many cases of Coke they humped up those pyramids, but they sure earned what little money they got paid. I still have some obsidian “razor blades” I found the the unexcavated parts of the site.

Idiots like to call these days “Common Era” as if that made any sense at all. But anything to pretend Christ does not exist I suppose.

As I say to my Mexican friends when the Mexican folk demand Texas and California be returned and Make them Mexico Again.
Make Mexico Mayan or Inca again and throw out the interlopers and decedents of Spain!

Its 28th of Tevet, 4138 but they assumed the reader uses a pagan Roman calendar instead of the real one.

Since A.D. =
anno Domini, "in the year of the Lord," we could use Y.O.L. as an abbreviation. Or perhaps Y.S. (Year of Salvation). Maybe use a lot of alternatives to mess with people's minds.
Different attempts have been made to determine the Biblical date of the creation--by the Jewish calendar we are now in the year 5780. Archbishop Ussher put the creation in 4004 B.C. so that would make it A.M. 6023 now (A.M. = Anno Mundi). The Byzantines had a different calculation.
It would make studying Greek and Roman history easier if Abraham's birth was arbitrarily calculated as 2000 B.C. and was made the starting-point, so we could just add 2000 to current dates--we would now be in Y.A. 4020. Then we wouldn't have to count down 480 B.C., 479 B.C., 478 B.C., etc.
