Mood in Warren campaign reportedly 'bleak' after Super Tuesday
The Week via Yahoo! News ^ | March 4, 2020 | by Brendan Morrow

Will Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) remain in the 2020 race after Super Tuesday?

That's the question pundits were asking after the senator's disappointing night, as she not only failed to notch a single Democratic primary win but also came in third place in her home state of Massachusets. Politico reports the mood in her campaign is "bleak" as officials "wonder whether a path forward exists."

Prior to polls closing on Super Tuesday, Warren had announced several new campaign stops, and as results were coming in, she sent out a new fundraising pitch. "There are six more primaries just one week away, and we need your help to keep up the momentum," the campaign said.

Last week, Warren said during a town hall event that "a lot of people made $5 contributions to my campaign to keep me in it, and as long as they want me to stay in this race, I'm staying in this race."

But Politico notes that Warren's Super Tuesday finish was "far below their own publicly-released projections," as the campaign thought she could come in the top two in eight states, but she didn't end up above third place in a single one. Some allies of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Tuesday began publicly urging her to bow out of the race.

"Imagine if the progressives consolidated last night like the moderates consolidated, who would have won?" Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) tweeted on Tuesday. President Trump, meanwhile, asserted in a tweet Wednesday morning that Warren's decision to stay in the race is "so selfish," wondering if Sanders will "ever speak to her again."

What? not even the dems can stand a shrill, angry polecat? This woman is incapable of projecting 1 degree of human warmth. She can’t even try to fake it, as hillary did.

To those who are crying because we won’t have a female president - pick someone for their abilities, not their sex.

The writing is on the wall for Bernie. He will NOT be allowed to be the Dem Nominee.

The question is.. Does he stay in for the best possible Dem pay off? A few more mansions?

Or, will he be pissed enough at being hosed a second time that he takes a scorched earth approach and goes 3d party run?

I don’t think he/ they can keep his minions in check to NOT run.

Should have been BLEAK long ago...

How anyone thought a candidate who’s crowds were consistently whiter than most Republican Rally’s had any prayer at being the Democrat nominee is beyond me.

At this point she’s playing Bernie Depressor hoping for a reward from the DNC for it.

Bernie’s not worried about being the nominee, he wants to push the party left... and he’s been successful.. and will not drop out... Look at any debate, what policies are they talking about? Nearly everything is Bernie’s platform...

Time for Fauxcohontas to take down her teepee. When you can’t win your home state, you’re done.

I would advise my twenty something son to stay as far away from these raving dingbats as humanly possible.

no reason for the fake squaw indian to still be in ... clearly make a deal with DNC / biden for cabinet position, etc. to take votes away from Crazy Bernie.

The people in MA don’t like her, and it was evident yesterday ... she will hurt Crazy Bernie in WA and MI next Tuesday and then probably quit.

The thing is, his minions aren’t “Bernie’s Brownshirts” anymore and while I think that they will run a socialist party ticket (as they have spent three years preparing to get a three month petition drive to qualify for the ballot in each state) I don’t think Bernie will necessarily be on that ticket if he can’t deliver the Democrat party endorsement.

This will be about who leads the left going forward.

Bernie goes nuclear on Biden’s corruption and mental state, or he goes home. Those are the only choices

That would be pretty awesome. I’m trying to lose a few pounds, and the Democrats keep making me eat more popcorn! Biden’s cognitive issues are becoming difficult to ignore. Maybe the President can snooker the Dems into talking about it.

Nope! The democRats are MORE obsessed about removing Trump from office, and their thinking is Biden has the best chance.

Democrat voters, perhaps, but I think the DNC is well aware that they're not getting the White House. Their entire game plan now is to preserve what they can down-ticket.

I found out the only good way to lose weight without going hungry was to eat between 9 am and 5 pm, as much as I want and no calories out of that time slot.

I do something similar; I start eating at 1:00 pm, stop all caloric intake at 9:00 pm. I try to move the starting point up an hour each day of the week until it’s at 5 on Friday. I get a little bit hungry around 10 in the morning this way, but it passes pretty quickly. I agree, it’s a great way to control food intake.

I am Native American.

I am presidential.
