Berman-Jackson or whoever she is, is insane.
So within the guild lines. Paging the Presidential pardon pen. Time to pardon all those convicted. 8>)
No he shouldnt
Good. Now Trump can pardon him.
Trump didn't want any jail time at all. Stone got over 3 years. What reason is there not to pardon him?
Come on, people. 3.5 yrs.
He’ll get 18 months off that for good behavior. And probably another 6 months off if agrees to parole for a year.
So 18 months in minimum security.
Did you listen to mark levin radio last night? Dan Bongino was substitute. ....well he laid out the whole scoop about stone, flyn, popodopolus, and how brennen set up this coup attempt on Trump. .....really good stuff. ....there should be a podcast. ..if I find it, will send it. Bongino thinks Barr is about to drop the hammer. ...
Pardon on its way.
Interesting responses here, wondering how they participated in last week’s anti-tweet putsch.
Re-trial should be ordered, and Barr should choose not to re-try case, claiming DOJ attorneys failed to properly vet jury. He should claim they have other priorities and elect not to retry case. Stone will have already served xx months in prison.....
MCcabe lied to the FBI, Cohen lied to Congress. So did the DNI secretary under Obama. The reason to pardon is exactly that. Either the law applies to everyone or no one.
In December I had made a donation to Stone’s legal defense fund, I also made one to Gen. Flynn’s fund also.
I pray for both. I hope both cases are thrown out before Trump has to pardon them.
The reason not to pardon him is that the trial was tainted. Judge, attorney, juror misconduct.
The verdict will be tossed.
And, she is a lawyer!
So did Hillary, Comey, Strzok, Brennan, etc. What's your point?
Correct. If this is not overturned on appeals - Trump will pardon.
Trouble is - An appeal will take a year or more.
America is truly a Banana Republic. With bona fide Political Prisoners.
There is no time off for good behavior in federal sentencing. The sentence you get is what you serve.
Time served would have been too much...
This is actually a lot less than the original recommendation, which the judge said wasn’t formally withdrawn. It actually is a more lenient sentence than I expected from how the judge talked today.
No he didn't. Read the sentencing recommendation. In it Barr "...defers to the court as to the specific sentence to be imposed." All he said was that the sentence should reflect Stone's age, circumstances, seriousness of the crime, and Stone's lack of criminal convictions.
I don't think anyone ever thought Stone would get seven to nine years. Three to four was more in line with expectations.
