On Sundays broadcast of NBCs Meet the Press, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) accused the Trump administration of giving contradictory information on why the president ordered the killing of former Iranian Quds force commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Paul said, I think weve heard contradictory information. Weve heard from the secretary of state that they dont know where or when but it was imminent. That to me does seem inconsistent. He thinks he can square the circle but to me it seems pretty inconsistent.

Why don’t you and magic jackass underpants Romney have a pity party together so you both can bitch to each other instead of us listening to it.
I keep thinking of him as outside the worthless GOP, but I’m beginning to think he is a major part of the deep state now.
He’s crossed a line.
Oh look, yet another nuanced Repubic a-hole who thinks he’s special.
Imagine intercepting a call — “Are the operations ready? All four? Can you execute these within the week? You can do them sooner? All four? That is good news, Allah be praised!”
We don’t know when. We don’t know where. But we can say “imminent”.
The thing that annoys be about this is, OF COURSE HE”S GIVING CONTRADICTORY INFORMATION. It’s how politics works. All human beings give contradictory information to one degree or another. It’s your enemies that are constantly trying to bring it up.
What’s your point Rand? This man killed hundreds of US servicemen and would certainly have killed more. He showed up in Iraq a day or two AFTER our embassy was attacked. What for?
Do me a favor go cut your grass and blow the clippings on your neighbor’s yard.
OK Im officially through with Paul.....
.....I always cut him some slack....
....but now he is purely aiding and abetting the enemy!
My guess is the administration is stalling long enough to protect or safely remove the assets in Iran that helped with the operation before the Deep State and the Never Trumpers can blow their covers and endanger them as they seem determined to do.
me TOO!! I am going to tell him so today!
I like Rand 95% of the time, but on this he is wrong. The minor technical details do not matter at all. It was absolutely just and very effective with cause and effect.
Shut the F up! Do something for the idiots that voted you in you lying POS never Trumper.
The Terrorist General was responsible for the Deaths and horrific Injuries of thousands of our Military Men and Women, innocent Civilians in multiple Countries including 1500 of his own People.
He got what was coming to him, period.
He thought he could just do what he pleased knowing the Americans would just look the other way. Time ran out for him and he chose poorly with Donaldus Trumpius in the White House.
Too bad his neighbor didn’t knock any sense into him.
Can you imagine how the current crop of dinks would have behaved after admiral Yamamoto was killed?
Maybe it involves top-secret information that might get informants killed if divulged. Ever thought of that Rand?
A grease spot on the roadway is more than he deserved.
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. Rand Paul's immigration speech...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]
[but he's not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
Imagine intercepting a call Are the operations ready? All four? Can you execute these within the week? You can do them sooner? All four? That is good news, Allah be praised!
We dont know when. We dont know where. But we can say imminent.
You are exactly right and I wonder is Paul simply to stupid to see what you and I and most reasonably intelligent folks would or is he simply a trouble maker?
