[Ill just say it, I wont vote for him because he is a Bush.]
Same here. I would NOT vote for any Boosh. They all showed their true colors.
[ Well is he or isn’t he? ]
Good question. He seems to clearly say he isn’t.
Then turns around and plays the race card.
Still, I haven’t forgotten that GP Bush tried to cover for Daddy Jeb putting himself down as “Hispanic”.
I wouldn’t trust Jeb! for anything. I suspect the kid is a chip off the old block of Jeb!.
With everything that is known and has been learned, how anyone can vote for someone from that family is insane.
no mas y andele vamanos
The Bush’s are a curse.
I agree.
We need to ask ourselves why we cannot elect constitutional conservatives. We’re losing a battle of voting attrition not just due to immigration, but also young people. I harp on government schools a lot here, but ultimately, if we think the Republic is fine with most voters trained by government schools, the best we will get is John Kasich. At some point, government here won’t be any different than say the UK. How ironic.
There is a massive education job to be done. We need to move beyond sarcastic comments and start teaching young people to think critically and not emotionally.
Might as well put up a statue of Hitler outside the gates of Auschwitz.
GP and the socialist gubmint of San Frantonio want to “re-imagine” the Alamo and show both sides of it’s history. In other words, erase it’s part in Texas’ independence. They are going to move the cenotaph from in front of the Alamo. It’s a work of art weighing tons. Moving it will destroy it. That is where the speculation of them putting up a statue of Santa Anna comes from.
Out of state money elected the mayor and commission. Can you spell Soros?
If a statue of that butcher is placed outside the Alamo, I dont think the TNM crowd will stand for it.
Were the Mormons already down in Mexico then??
It is not even remotely true. The article is poorly written, and if you don't read it very carefully, it can lead you to think it is true.
George P. Bush never even considered putting a statue of Santa Anna at the Alamo. What he plans to do is renovate and move a nearby monument honoring the lives of the Alamo defenders to a more prominent location within the Alamo compound. No one who knows the facts could argue with that.
The posts here quoting a sentence from the article stating that Bush wants a statue of Santa Anna are quoting a tweet posted by a Bush hating group that is a false statement. Careful reading of the article will prove it is false.
Some Conservatives will believe ANYTHING, no matte rhow unlikely, that makes the Bush family LOOK bad.
I’m an Alamo Shrine docent & this is BRAVO SIERRA. = While I’m “no particular fan” of George P Bush, this is ABSURD & NONSENSE.
Part of the “fake new problem” concerning our Alamo Shrine is that numerous “commercial interests” here in San Antonio are trying ANY TACTIC to stop us from RESTORING the Alamo battle site to its original size & appearance.
Note: We are now about 95% sure that the site of the funeral pyre, where our Texican martyrs were burned, has been found.
(IF that site is PROVEN correct, I for just one of many Texicans want a memorial built/dedicated there & the “modern constructions” torn down.)

——Some Conservatives will believe ANYTHING——
Amen
Then, they have a hissy fit and desert the cause
I agree. I neither hate nor love the Bush family, but I do love the truth.
You’re far more knowledgeable of the Alamo background than I am, having grown up a Minnesotan. I couldn’t even find a map locating the Cenotaph’s current location, other than “nearby”. Do you know of an online map showing it, and also the location of the funeral pyre?
100% CORRECT.
Yours, TMN78247
SORRY, while I SEE the memorial every time that I’m at The Shrine, I have NO knowledge of an “online map”.
Further, until the pyre’s location is 100% proven, I’ll NOT tell anyone where it is. - We “Preservationists” fear the current owners damaging/destroying the site AND/OR figuring out another “delaying tactic” to STOP its preservation/restoration.
(I also KNOW where several more UNMARKED graves are in Downtown San Antonio & am NOT saying where they are either, until/unless we can get the sites protected.)
As a RABID TEXICAN, I favor “ripping down” all of the modern structures that are on our Shrine & the entire battlefield being a MEMORIAL PARK, forever. = I’m just a bit of an “Alamo fanatic” & could care less about “commercial possibilities” and/or all the various “moneymaking schemes” that have been floated here in Bexar County.
(What I would like is RESTORATION of the ENTIRE SITE, to the degree possible, of how the battlefield looked in 1836, ALL of the graves located, mapped & marked & a PERMANENT ban on “possible future commercial exploitation” being enacted/enforced.)
Yours, TMN78247
Unfortunately, there is another one running for the congressional seat in my district. It used to be Tom Delay's seat. After he retired, we had a one-term 'rat, then we got Pete Olson, who has been pretty much invisible. Now that he is retiring we have another li'l Bushie trying for the seat.
Are you talking about a reconstruction of the fort? Sort of like the set for John Wayne's movie?
Things sure did run a whole lot smoother when The Daughters of the Republic were running things at the Alamo.
For those of You that are not familiar with The Alamo, it would be similar to... the zer0 getting its Fugley Face on Mt. Rushmore...
