What I would like is RESTORATION of the ENTIRE SITE, to the degree possible, of how the battlefield looked in 1836

Are you talking about a reconstruction of the fort? Sort of like the set for John Wayne's movie?

NOPE. We preservationists don’t want a “movie set”; instead we want a PERMANENT memorial park, without any “commercial activities”, FOREVER.

What I’m talking about is:
1. MOVING Alamo Street OFF of the battleground,
2. Removing the current “Alamo Store” & administrative facilities from the battlefield,
3. Marking all the known graves & the privy holes where the brave Soldados were disposed of by The Dictator Santa Anna,
4. Tearing down all of the “carnival sideshow” across the street from the Alamo Chapel & marking the location where LTC Travis died,
(The current wax museum is at COL Travis’s death site.)
5. Moving the cenotaph from its current location to the edge of the battlefield,
6. Constructing a Visitor’s Center & museum OFF OF the battleground,
7. Marking where the fortresses’ wall once was,
8 Replacing the current concrete with grass, native rock & “period appropriate “walking pathways,
9. Preserving/marking the site of the funeral pyre, where our martyrs bodies were burned
and
10. Spending whatever is necessary to preserve/repair the Chapel.

Yours, TMN78247
