A simmering dispute over planned renovations to the Alamo erupted into a war of words between two Republican elected state officials this week.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick joined critics of Land Commissioner George P. Bush, who is overseeing the controversial Alamo redesign plan. Patrick accused Bush of broadly labeling detractors as liars and racists. Bush said Patrick twisted his words in what he labeled a dangerous mistake.
{snip} In a Dec. 10 post, Range wrote that Bush intends to put up a statue of Antonio López de Santa Anna, the president who led Mexican troops against the defenders of the Alamo, outside the San Antonio battle site. Range could not be reached for comment.
The following day, Bush said the claims were an outright lie and flat out racist, on Twitter. He questioned whether his Mexican heritage played a role in the accusation he would support a Mexican dictator.

Bush globalist invoking the race card.
Color me shocked.
If it is even remotely true that a Santa Anna statue was EVEN considered-— then little brown Bush is far more than toasted. He’s burnt toast.
Demand the minutes of meetings and all of the design requests they have paid for in the prospectus. Show what you wanted Georgie- to prove it isn’t so! Santa Anna was a nasty piece of Spanish dictatorship Napoleon style, without the abilities. You can’t be that stupid— but maybe.... “Please Clap”.
Today, England would install Napoleon’s statue at Waterloo, and tear down the evil British memorials.
Well is he or isn't he?
We could have displayed Santa Anna’s wood leg, but had already returned it a few decades ago.
I’ll just say it, I won’t vote for him because he is a Bush.
And sadly we have some Texas Freepers working to keep them around.
Even before 2016 George P. Bush was rampaging around the Texas Coast like the Kelo vs. New London Supreme Court decision was made with him in mind.
The man has never seen a case where he didn’t think eminent domain sounded like a great solution yet we have people who are on this board who voted to keep him in office where he can continue to stomp all over the rights of Texas landowners and give the party a black eye.
Several people on this forum explained things that he had done, why it was wrong, and how it could bite the Republican party in Texas.
It was talking to a wall.
They saw the name Bush and reflexively voted for the crosseyed little globalist scion.
Really. The day of the Bush is long passed. I would call on all Texans everywhere to send these scurrilous mountebanks a definite message.__ No Mas.
George W. Bush and Barack Obama were eight years of collective calamity and one was not one whit better than the other. In fact, if GWB had been a half-assed decent president, Obama wouldn't have been elected anyway.
One more Bush on the national stage and I'm going into Madame DeFarge mode.
*** The day of the Bush is long passed. ***
P got something like 77% of the vote, IIRC. Sometimes my fellow Texans do not vet candidates thoroughly or they just vote stupidly.
This Bush in particular needs to be sent packing.
George P. Bush was in fact born a Mexican national from his Mexican national mother, she was not yet an American citizen.
Anyone born with divided citizenship is exactly who the founders were excluding with the natural born citizen requirement.
George P. Bush is probably the biggest reason the GOP went along with the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
That would be one statue that I would relish tearing down!
I’ll tell you one d@m@ thing, I’ll bust a gut if P gets a statue of Santa Anna....that little turd deserved to be shot but Houston found him more valuable alive. PC has been taking over the Alamo and the battle of Texas independence for years now and I thought this Bush might be different since he supposedly supports President Trump. Dan Patrick will jerk a knot in his tail if the kid continues on this track.....
Ping!

Correct, which is why President Trump is a natural born citizen and George P. Bush, Ted Cruz, Micro Rubio, Nikki Haley, Kamalalalala Harris are not.
Micro Rubio?
LOL!
Lots of voters are low info voters even on the R side. Thank you government schools.
