Kanye West joined Pastor Joel Osteen on stage at his Lakewood Church on Sunday and said he plans to recruit the best talent in the music industry and release new Christian music every month.
This music is going to come every month. We dropping that heat. Were in the studio. God is strengthening our hands, Kanye West said to the over 17,000 in attendance and the millions watching on livestream.
The devil stole all the good producers, the devil stole all the good musicians, all the good artists, all the good designers, all the good businesspeople, and said youve got to come work for me, West said.
We have writers. We have producers. Were taking all the most fire producers and bring them back to God, the Grammy-winner said to the roar of applause. All the best voices, all the best dancers, all the worship for us to see that its through Christ following the Bible can free us all.
When we bring up the name of Jesus, were told to be quiet. Every time I stand up, I feel that Im standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying, Im here in service to God,' West continued.
West explained how he came to make Jesus Is King, his ninth consecutive number one album and his first Gospel album.

I suppose you’d feel better if he had converted to Islam?

Wolf in sheep clothing or a true voice crying in the wilderness?
Ill go with neither. I consider him more of a Dennis Rodman. Gonna do what he feels and isnt concerned how people feel about that. I believe he is doing something he feels positive about today but he can be wishy-washy. A month from now plans may change.

Religious ADHD? That is a real possibility..
THANKYOU!!!
This Christian loving agnostic asks what is wrong with prosperity?
Prosperity gospel is false doctrine. Read Job. Actually just read the first 2 chapters of Job.
Hi have nothing against them I just know the difference between seeing JESUS lifted up and seen a ‘man’ lifted up.
John wrote “I must decrease and HE must increase”
Wake me up when this train takes that track.
“This Christian loving agnostic asks what is wrong with prosperity?”
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Christians being prosperous. The new-ish cult of “Prosperity Gospel” is dreadful and shameful.
Amen!
I was replying to the Doubting Thomas who if actually saw the video would not likely have posted what he did.
Speaking of Solomon Jesus said "No man can serve God and Money" -- and went on to say that even Solomon in all his splendor wasn't clothed like the lilies of the field.
Pharisees? Here? On FR? What?
I’m not sure about his conversion and whatever else he’s got going on. His conversion is between him and God. Redemption is available to all who accept.
(1) I hope his conversion is real. (2) If he can convince more blacks to vote for Trump, and help make black families strong and good, I’m for him. That’s all.
“Because if you are following Christ to get rich, you are actually not following Christ at all.”
He’s already ridiculously rich.
Kanye is going to deliver the black vote huge to Trump. So much so the fiendish left may try and take him out, which would be even worse for them...
Prosperity isn’t a problem. Joel Osteen teaches that God’s plan for you is to be prosperous and that is what we are on earth for. If we do the right things, God will prosper us. His gospel isn’t about serving God but rather doing it so that WE gain. His teaching leads you to believe that the point of following God is to comfortable and happy all of the time. Your purpose is to prosper. Your goal is to prosper. That simply isn’t what God’s word says.
I think you misunderstand. Prosperity isn’t the problem. Serving God in order to prosper is the problem. Believing that your purpose on earth is to prosper is the problem.
That is what I thought too...He is a baby Christian. Lots of passion, but needing more wisdom. That said, he could really impact the black community in a positive way!
Needs our prayers for God’s guidance
Not so sure about that-- I've met him (a friend is a regular attendee at Lakewood) and heard him preach.
He seems to place as much emphasis on leading a Christian life as anyone, but just offers the carrot of living your life with joy at having received the Word, instead of having just the stick of hellfire and damnation.
Joy in faith can bring about as much of a change in personal behavior as fear of the Lord.
I know enough.
I see Osteen not as a preacher but as an entertaining motivational speaker that sprinkles in some Christian concepts.
