Yet, we are to believe that he threw it all away "So I could spend more time with my three children."

Joe must love him since Ryan let him walk all over him in their 2012 debate and Ryan was happy to let him get away with it. Joe picking him for VP would be a nice way to show his thanks. If Joe's in jail, he could still continue his run for pres since he and his son have a lot of loot.
