Reporters fawned Tuesday over 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg's response to a sarcastic tweet from President Donald Trump.
"She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future," Trump tweeted after Thunberg warned the U.N. of a coming "mass extinction."
She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see! https://t.co/1tQG6QcVKO

In response, Thunberg changed her Twitter bio Tuesday to read, "A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future." The move delighted reporters, who declared the young woman had gotten the best of the president.
"Well played," CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang said in a tweet that was later retweeted by CNN's Jim Acosta.
New York Times reporter Astead W. Herndon, Yahoo News reporter Dylan Stableford, and MSNBC producer Michael Del Moro also weighed in.
Liberal outlets such as Vanity Fair and the Guardian likewise crowed "Greta Thunberg Is Officially Better At Twitter Than Trump" and "Greta Thunberg turns tables on Trump and quotes his mockery in new Twitter bio."
CNN's Chris Cillizza weighed in on air, saying :
"She changed her Twitter bio to A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future.' Which honestly is an A-plus troll of the president."
No 16 year old wears her hair in braids unless it is a requirement.
two things, the tweet was moronic and meaningless. 2nd, zoo zoo Jiang and Acosta wear their hatred for Trump on their shirtsleeves - they should join the campaign not pretend to be reporters.
I think what the President said about her was exceedingly kind and proper. Something I would expect from any President. And the media took it as bad??
She’s mentally ill, abused by her parents, and traumatized by the climate scam.
That's why they are journalists............
My personal opinion is that she is not so bright. I did not see this as an intelligent tweet. She showed no originality at all.
Her parents feel that the girls problems are inextricable from the climate crisis, and that the cure is to change the system.
So to them, Gretas and her sisters Asbergers, OCD and autism are caused by the climate crisis. I see. Two kids in one familys got nothing to do with mamas and papas genes?
Talk about parents deflecting their guilt over their childrens conditions, by using their child in this way.
How utterly despicable!
The world is like Junior High School all over again.
She’s not a “little girl.”
She is a paid actress in an international advertising campaign.
Hah - the word “Honesty” was used by the media.
OK so in one of my several “fantasy conversations” I have daily in my mind, one of them is to ask a media type - “In your mind, what would the perfect response by Trump really be?”
But then in my heart of hearts I would hope that if given the chance I would just not bother, remembering that you can’t argue with idiots.
Greta Brownshirt needs to be picked up and taken to a mental facility and her parents prosecuted for child abuse.
What I see in Greta is a kid literally self traumatized by the fact that she does not believe in a sovereign God. She is mentally terrified in her chosen belief that the fate of the planet, the fate of humans, rests with mortal men. And this is why I reject man-made globull warming. It is ludicrous to believe that mere humans can somehow control the planet or control global weather. But, alas, we have rejected the reality of a sovereign God; therefore, we are now susceptible to mental illness as a result of believe that people control everything and are the supreme beings of the universe.
I predict this young girl will be used as entertainment by the her fellow ‘citizens’ one day..
pitiful
In the delusional netherworld these creatures inhabit, it makes sense.
A kid who could have been a poster child for the hitlerjungand 75 years ago is maybe not the best choice as the standard bearer for the Green New Deal... or, perhaps she is.
A-plus troll of the president?
He won that round, with her losing gracefully.
