A new dogma has turned beliefs that once seemed common sense into hate crimes. [tr]

----

The question of what exactly we are meant to do now – other than get rich and have fun – was going to have to be answered by something. The answer that has presented itself in recent years has been to live in a permanent state of outrage. To find meaning by waging constant war against anybody who seems to be on the wrong side of a question to which the answer has only just been altered.

----

The interpretation of the world through the lens of ‘social justice’ and ‘identity group politics’ is probably the most audacious and comprehensive effort since the end of the Cold War at creating a new ideology.

----

For most people, awareness of this new religion has become clear not so much by trial as by public error. Because one thing that everybody has begun to sense in recent years is that a set of tripwires have been laid across the culture.

-----

Just as things appeared better than ever before, the rhetoric started suggesting things had never been worse.

-----

‘St George in retirement’ syndrome. After slaying the dragon, the warrior finds himself stalking the land looking for more glorious fights. Eventually, after tiring himself out in pursuit of ever-smaller dragons, he may eventually be found swinging his sword at thin air, imagining dragons.

---

Today our public life is dense with people desperate to slay imagined dragons.

----

As anyone who has lived under totalitarianism can attest, there is something demeaning and eventually soul-destroying about being expected to go along with claims you do not believe to be true.

Leftists/liberals see the world through politics. It is their religion.

Welcone to the Dystopian Society, perfectly laid out in Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm. Thank God we elected PDJT. He is the only one who ran that could reverse this tyranny.
Everyone else gets a piece of the destruction profits. This is why they hate DJT. The American people were given this one last chance to save the USA. Let’s soldier on. We can do anything if we’re united. Stay strong. Stay united.

“A new dogma has turned beliefs that once seemed common sense into hate crimes.”

Social engineering. You can thank Karl Marx and his minions. But it certainly isn’t everybody. Common sense is a healthier lifestyle, and without a doubt...happier in the long run.

Very good article, thanks for posting. It seems to be an excerpt from the author’s new book, The Madness of Crowds, which sounds worth reading!

I’m not sure that his conclusion is right, though. He thinks that these constant attacks on the majority or on established concepts will produce a backlash that will then attack the minority groups (gays, for example) that had been attacking the majority (heterosexuals, in this case).

I don’t think this is likely. Totalitarian Marxist collectivism is the world view or narrative that has either infiltrated (as in the case of the Catholic Church) or crushed all other belief systems. It has used these minorities as tools, shock troops or the “vanguards” in its decades of work to reject reality, as the author notes, forcing formerly rational people to say that patently imposible and unreal things are true, such as in the case of “transgenders.” It has already established itself with the full force of the law, and worse still, it gained control of the educational system long ago and now controls the minds of the young. And it is now imposed by virtually all educational, entertainment, literary and political sources as the sole permitted thought.

So I honestly don’t see where this supposed backlash is going to come from or how it’s ever supposed to gain enough strength to be effective, let alone dangerous to the Marxist-anointed “minorities” that have proven to be such effective tools in erasing thousands of years of civilization and thought.

In today’s PC identity politics world of the SJWs, everybody wants to be a hero activist like Malcolm X or maybe even that wimp, Martin Luther King, fighting heroic civil rights battles in the name of a just cause

Entire university academic departments have as their sole reason to exist a mission to manufacture and graduate as many aspiring Malcolm X and Angela Davis clones as they possibly can.

Problem is, there was only one Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Angela Davis back in the days when there was actual real and legitimate racial discrimination existing in this country and, even then, one of each was considered more than enough - even within the civil rights community

We now a massive glut of University educated , professionally accredited graduates with degrees in “Wannabe civil rights agitators and violent revolutionaries”! ( if you doubt it their campus SJW motto is “ by any means necessary” , and they mean it!. They are pretty explicit about the drastic and violent means they are willing to resort to, but they are a bit fuzzy on the end goals) , all of whom are looking for high paying jobs as Social Justice Warriors in the field of “1960s Protest Movement”

The problem is that unofficial discrimination based on race or gender has been legislated out of American society and has that form of racial discrimination has been replaced by officially sanctioned, government mandated affirmative action policies that provide preferential treatment to segments of society based on race or gender, which is itself a form of officially government sanctioned discrimination.

And today’s SJW are not the hero holy warriors to engaged on a just cause fighting injustice they see themselves as, instead they are feudal warlords fighting petty and selfish battles for power and the unjust loot and other spoils of war won for them by the true civil rights leaders of a long past era.

I’d say that they are not the Alexander the Greats they style themselves to be, but are instead the four petty and squabbling generals who divided Alexander’s Empire and then ran it into ruin. Ironically , of course, that historical reference would be lost on todays social justice warriors because they have destroyed the traditions of Western Culture and banned the teaching of its history on today’s University Campus’s.

The westernized version of the Red Guard. Just give them time, their progress here is slower than it was in China but the parallels are chilling.

And having to live with the wreckage they have caused...

IIRC, the left has been at this since the 20’s.

Italian workers back then realized that socialism went against human nature (their own enlightened self interest, so to speak), and started bucking it. The leftist powers decided they needed to change human nature to get people to accept socialism. Basically turning common sense on its head.

Wish I could remember the so-called philosopher’s name who championed this idea in literature of the time.

‘A lack of meaning and purpose in life.’

it seems to me that an ethic that preaches a rejection of earthly existence in favor of an afterlife in a heavenly utopia is the very essence of ‘lack of meaning and purpose in life’...

Gramsci (from Wikipedia)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Gramsci#Hegemony

Orthodox Marxism had predicted that socialist revolution was inevitable in capitalist societies. By the early 20th century, no such revolution had occurred in the most advanced nations. Capitalism, it seemed, was more entrenched than ever. Capitalism, Gramsci suggested, maintained control not just through violence and political and economic coercion, but also through ideology. The bourgeoisie developed a hegemonic culture, which propagated its own values and norms so that they became the “common sense” values of all. People in the working-class (and other classes) identified their own good with the good of the bourgeoisie, and helped to maintain the status quo rather than revolting.

To counter the notion that bourgeois values represented natural or normal values for society, the working class needed to develop a culture of its own. Lenin held that culture was ancillary to political objectives, but for Gramsci it was fundamental to the attainment of power that cultural hegemony be achieved first. In Gramsci’s view, a class cannot dominate in modern conditions by merely advancing its own narrow economic interests; neither can it dominate purely through force and coercion. Rather, it must exert intellectual and moral leadership, and make alliances and compromises with a variety of forces. Gramsci calls this union of social forces a “historic bloc”, taking a term from Georges Sorel. This bloc forms the basis of consent to a certain social order, which produces and re-produces the hegemony of the dominant class through a nexus of institutions, social relations, and ideas. In this way, Gramsci’s theory emphasized the importance of the political and ideological superstructure in both maintaining and fracturing relations of the economic base.

"A new dogma has turned beliefs that once seemed common sense into hate crimes."

"If you say the 'wrong thing', you'll be thrown to the wolves..."

Would the Inquisition and the Inquisitors hesitate to inflict any of the horrors of the Middle Ages--or worse--upon such heretics?

What we are seeing more in Texas is that the term “social justice” is just thinly veiled “anti-anglo. We even get that message delivered to us from the pulpit every Sunday. To be white is presumed to be racist. The Uber culture of the US is definitively becoming ahti-white. Which begs the question, how long before whites themselves increasingly become anti-American?

They're in a league of their own and it's neither a sport or a game. So, how do you line up against them? If they can't be held down then they have to be taken down...HARD.
