As anyone who has lived under totalitarianism can attest, there is something demeaning and eventually soul-destroying about being expected to go along with claims you do not believe to be true.

Liberals/Leftists in the West who have abandoned traditional Christianity are left with an emptiness in their souls. A lack of meaning and purpose in life. Liberals have substituted politics as their new religion. Having won many civil rights battles, they can't be content where they are. They have to continually look for more battles to give their lives meaning. So they continue to invent new "injustices" for them to battle against.

Additionally, their skewed morality of relativism allows them to pursue causes that are deliberately calculated to combat Christianity. Since they have already rejected Christianity, they now seek to root it out of society. They hate the Christian God who claims that He will hold them accountable fo their deeds, including their illicit sex.

Common sense still prevails across most of the Western world - the problem is that it does not prevail among the self-proclaimed "elites" who control establishment politics and Big Media. Because this small minority of loons control most of the means of communication, the false impression that their insanity is shared by everyone else is spread.

This fashionable consensus redefines success. One faction of the eternally outraged inflicts emotional damage on themselves for endless slights wounding their virtue. They trade away adulthood and dignity for a prestige lacking dreams to pursue or accomplishments to celebrate. The other faction embraces the others every dilution in order to receive effortless addictive compassion as the drug of choice.

This novel moral superiority only requires both parties fabricate a disgust for themselves and for this country. Buttressed by premeditated ignorance, both ideologically possessed factions shelter within a joyous cacophony of mutually supportive orations validating the oppressions of their own making.
