A man and woman have been arrested accused of attacking a MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporter who was on a date night with his wife.
Luke Lenzner says he was 'sucker punched' outside an Oregon bar in the early hours of Saturday morning while wearing his 'Make America Great Again' cap.
Pictures show Lenzner in the red hat with Donald Trump's 2016 campaign slogan emblazoned across it with cuts and bruises to his face.
Police say 23-year-old Adebisi A. Okuneye and Leopold A. Hauser, 22, were arrested and charged with third-degree assault following the incident in Portland.
Lenzner told FOX 12 he was 'mobbed' outside the bar by people who 'just circled me and my wife'.
Security footage shows the couple as they leave the bar. Lenzner appears to point at his hat and say something to other patrons before the altercation.
Staff at the Growler's Taproom said they had told Lenzner and his wife they had stopped serving food.

Too many talk here about how they would have shot the guy.
I don’t know where these folks are from but in my experience in fights or trouble it is NEVER fair, NO ONE gives you time to prepare and a sucker punch or grab from behind or just straight out firing the gun or stabbing happens in a blink.
It’s not the movies, like I said, where someone says “stick em up!” from 5 feet away while they are not really paying attention, so you can draw quickly and kill them.
This is real life.
For every attack that was repulsed because the person being attacked had a firearm, there are MANY MORE where a person with a firearm was blindsided and the gun was worthless in those cases.
They should be charged with a Terrorist Act.
If it was Leopold Stotch, he may have never made it out alive.

I was disagreed with when I spoke of such things as people feeling a chilling effect on public discourse to discuss and support the President in public, here a couple of weeks ago. They said “You’re wrong on this one Frank. Trump’s rallies have to turn away long lines.”
I saw a dowdy looking couple of 60 year olds coming into a restaurant as I was leaving, each with a Bernie t shirt last weekend. They faced no one shoving or spraying them or punching them. Just arrogant and confident. Self-satisfied.
How many days or how many hours would they last in a 84% Dem voting city (mine) with a MAGA shirt or hat? Have to map out closest urgent care before going out. And this is still “America”?

But, also, I would advise anyone going out with their Trump gear on, to have situational awareness, (especially if you live in blue areas).
Have a way to defend yourself if attacked. Always carry a camera, be ready to record the nutcases.

If some jacka$$ does bother you, tell them off. Tell them you have a right to wear whatever you want and support whoever you want, and be against politicians becoming all powerful.

The racial composition of victim and victimizer may “color” the thinking about the crime in the justice system.
Why can’t a lawyer say “where is it written only one color is protected from hate crimes?” And then bring out a statistic that, say, 18,901 cases adjudicated under hate crime statutes were for a certain color of victim last year.
But will call on their $1,200 new version smart phones with expensive monthly fees on two year contracts. And went to rock and rap concerts with tickets costing $120 each recently.
