Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg undergoes more cancer treatment
HEADLINE ONLY!
“Just a little over four months, and Trump wont be able to replace her unless he is re-elected.”
So you can unbunch your knickers. If Ginsburg dies with enough time to have confirmation hearings prior to the new Senate being sworn in on January 3, 2021, the current Senate will vote on President Trump’s nominee; if not, the new Senate would vote on it (assuming that there still are 50+ Republican, which I’m 99% sure will be the case) prior to January 20, 2021, which is Presidential Inauguration Day. The only thing stopping President Trump, even if he loses reelection in 2020 from replacing Ginsburg at SCOTUS during his first term as president is if Ginsburg doesn’t die prior to the 2020 elections.
If she succumbs to room temp next year, will the turtle pursue DJT’s nominee?
If she were NOT a purely political animal, with her clearly poor health and mental outlook she would’ve retired years ago. But RBG decided to wait for Hillary to be elected, to give both of them that oh-so-important symbolism of women replacing women.
Sorry it didn’t work out for either of them.....
She needs to go
yeah, everyoe4n is different in how they react to treatment- some do live longer- my neighbor has it and has beaten the estimates by over a year now- but you’re right, in the end they very likely are gonna succumb to it
OMG she passed away is this true??? I am seeing nothing except on twitter!!!
This cant be true link was on the Q thread must be a joke, it was on Fox News twitter feed, but hearing nothing so I think someone faked it!!!
Mitch OConnell said he would proceed to replace a SCOTUS regardless of the upcoming election.
Whoever added the keyword “jamiesommers” gets props.
Um, she’s Jewish. So no.....
You’re excitement over someone’s possible death is in such bad taste.
No, what? She can't get saved? Bob Dylan is Jewish. He's saved. Nobody knows. Worth a prayer for her soul.

The statement releasing this information to the public was drafted by lawyers. So as always, look at the words that the statement used. “Is” is and all of that.
The statement says: “[n]”o evidence of disease elsewhere.”
Elsewhere.
Meaning, the tumor is still in the pancreas, and has obstructed the biliary duct to the extent that a stent needed to be put in.
They only did radiographic ablation, not surgery.
Most likely, such a treatment is only for palliative purposes.
For those of you wondering, best guess is 3 to 6 months, once the cancer has occluded the biliary tract.
That’s in an otherwise healthy individual, not an 86 year old.
Let’s hope she retires gracefully, enjoys her last days and sees the goodness in our country.
I have heard that she had tumors on her pancreas being treated with radiation. Nowhere does any report saying she has pancreatic cancer. Could there be a difference?
McConnell already said he’d have the vote and not postpone.
I don’t remember Graham saying that. Do you have a source?
bttt
Quote from article referring to Mitch McConnell:
He was referring to how Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said earlier this year that the Senate would consider a presidential nominee to fill a vacancy on the court if one occurred in 2020.
Oh, wed fill it,” the Kentucky Republican said at an event in May.
Yes but she was around 70 and it nearly killed her so they had to stop. I wouldn’t wish that cancer on anybody. It was awful.
It was back in 2018. A quick search turns up:
If an opening comes in the last year of President Trumps term and the primary process has started, well wait until the next election.
