Should the mother who admits posting doctor's office licking video be behind bars?
Woman told her daughter to lick the tongue depressors in a doctor's office and then put it back in the jar with the other ones. She was arrested. The bond, incredibly, is only $2,500.

The next development will be that new tongue depressors will come individually wrapped in sealed paper “packaging”. And that will be because of women such as this.

What is it with this licking? First it was ice cream in a supermarket; now tongue depressors in a doctor’s office. Is this some type of new underground fad?

I think it depends on whether there was harm done or not.
If the girl had any communicable disease, then yes.
If the girl was healthy, then it’s a really stupid prank that could have done real harm and probation and community serviced is in order.

What you say is correct. It seems to me there are zero consequences for stupid or bad behavior in the USA. Given all the culture of “rights,” “victimhood” and entertainment that we swim in, its a recipe for pure self-centeredness.

That’s the American way of justice. With the highest per capita imprisonment rate in the world, I wouldn’t want to overcrowd the prisons even more.

That would only solve the tongue depressor issue. What of all of the other medical equipment in any examining room.
No, what will probably be the government solution to this vital community health issue is that every examining room will have to be under constant surveillance while occupied. That means either video surveillance or an actual human health employee in the room.
If it was just “inattentive parent doesn’t report what her child had done” I would have some sympathy. But “parent actively records unsanitary and health-threatening activities and doesn’t stop it” —— throw her ass in jail.

My vote: She should be charged with whatever criminal charges apply.
And (assuming he’s a good guy) the father should have full custody of the kids. The mother should have supervised visitation.
