The Republican Party never much liked Donald Trump or what he represented.
The GOP and establishment conservative groups never much liked Trumps supporters.
Republicans were fine at cowering behind their desks at the first sign of adversity. They were used to making promises and not following through. They were happy to cede power to a radical fascist left that continues to tear away at the fabric of this great nation.
When Trump won Paul Ryan said he would build a wall. Paul Ryan lied repeatedly. He never had any intention of building a wall.
Either did Mitch McConnell.
When Trump declared a national emergency at the border 12 Senate Republicans voted against him. TWELVE!
In May GOP senators killed off Trump supporter Steve Moores nomination to the Federal Reserve Board.
They said they would not support tariffs on our southern enemy. They wont support this president.
But the worst abuses are on the US Constitution.
Since 2016 the far left tech giants and radical liberal groups have been eliminating conservative voices online. They are harassing companies to remove advertising from conservative platforms and FOX News shows. Hundreds of conservatives have been affected.
The left is using fascist tactics to rid the internet of conservative voices. And NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING TO STOP THEM!
No one.
When conservatives were kicked off YouTube or Twitter or Facebook the GOP said nothing and did nothing.
When Trump supporters get their ass kicked by an Antifa mob, Republicans do nothing.
It is clear the Republican Party is AWOL. They are like a shell company. Just a name and nothing else.
Maybe its time to think about a new movement? Maybe its time to Brexit the GOP?
When people continue to show you who they are, believe them.

I never thought I’d see the day when the Republicans would criticize their own president while he was abroad on such an important occasion as the rememberance of D Day.
Disgraceful beyond words. A new low, even for the Repukes.
That is the same BS argument (no 3rd party) that is used to scare voters into going with the lesser of 2 evils; vote for a wishy-washy repub that will ‘sometime’ go your way, or you will be putting a dem in office!!
That kind of thinking is what got is the ‘paul rhino’ types in the first place!
Why do you blame the GOP for this? They have a guy in the White House who is basically an interloper in their party. Of course they're going to keep their distance from him -- especially on those critical issues like immigration and trade where he is diametrically opposed to their own party platform.
I don't like it any better than you do, but they're doing exactly what I have expected them to do all along.
This just shows you how small the leadership of Trump's movement really is. It's not like he came out of the Trump Organization with 500 people -- or even 5 -- who were ready, willing and able to take on senior roles in his administration.
I don't think the GOP'ers realize that Trump has already destroyed their party. When Trump departs the political scent, it's lights out for them. Forever, given the demographics of America.

The party is defending their platform. Trump is defending the nation.
He is pursuing the agenda his voters wanted him to achieve. One of those items (securing the border) is an existential issue for the country yet the GOP is largely against it. I cannot support a party that does not support our national sovereignty. Being a veteran that is very important to me, as it should be for every American.

That argument often comes from the same people who thought Trump’s candidacy was a joke and that he could not win.
We’re not going to pay to keep nearly a whole generation of diseased drug zombies alive.
Like I said...The problem is the people we elect in the GOP...
Has anyone heard of a primary challenge to Cornyn, one of the stronger open border senators?
Every time any good candidate challenges Cornball, he quickly trots to the right and dons his conservative hat and talk.
He also calls in the BIG COC/OpenBorders $$$ to squelch any chance the candidate ever had.
I wish Sarah Palin would move to TX and challenge this professional politician/hack.
weird. I never said that I believed any of that.
Why would the wall help one bit?
The wall is being built several feet up to 150 feet inside US territory. When caravans or individuals show up ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL, it is US territory. Border patrol is routinely bringing people in under a policy of President Trump, that treats them like Cubans in the 1980’s. If you put a foot on US soil, you are granted access.
75% of those coming in are males, aged 16-18. This is worse than Russia meddling in an election. It is undercutting the country PERMANENTLY, and is simply an invasion.
Someone is paying the “mules”, and it sure as hell is not the so called migrants. Under 8 USC, the President can shut out all immigration, migration, and amnesty for any class, all classes, and for any reason. The LAW is quite clear, but he simply does not have the will.
What we have is not a lack of a wall, but a LACK OF WILL.
I voted for President Trump, but unless this stops I will not vote for him again. This is rank hypocrisy. He does not need any more laws to fix this. When the migrant caravans dwindle to +0-, it is going to be because no one else will be left that wants to get in.
“...the gun owners will be eliminated”.
That would be nearing completion now if the last election had a different outcome.
“...youre missing the point. The Gop is a failure”.
Don’ ditch it - Fix it!
Don’t use it, lose it.
We are losing our options in how to remedy the destruction of this country.
No representation means unrest.
Are we really going to have to reboot it?
Very true, all that you said. House incumbents enjoy, what, a 95% re-election rate? I was suspicious of Eddie Munster from the time I heard Bill Bennett praising him to the skies. If those 40 punks had stayed the course who knows? There are probably another 40 still in there who need to be primaried out. I’ve told my idiot Senators and Rep that if they don’t get off the bench and come on in for the big win they won’t get my vote next time. Primary vote that is, I could never vote for a Rat or write in Mrs. Romney’s name in the general election.
“We are losing our options in how to remedy the destruction of this country”.
We can’t rely on continuing to elect the “political class” of people. That is exactly what has put this country in the ditch.
What has made the biggest change to right the ship is the election of a political outsider-Trump.
That is what has to happen in congress. Regular people who love this country and truly want to see it “saved” are going to have to step up, run for office and get elected.
Do you think that a Democrat majority House and Democrat majority Senate would agree with you? I don’t.
Does your reasonable desire to stop supporting drug addicts involve anything more effective than simply stamping your foot and saying “No! No! No!”?
Why not? As they say, “The DEVIL is in the DETAILS!”
I did hear one radical idea that MAY solve the “problem”.
The plan would be to have the government open “opium dens”, where addicts could check in and then get all the drugs they want “for free”.
Such a program would help get rid of all the drugs that have been seized and are now in police custody.
It would also destroy the drug dealers’ market. How can they compete with “free drugs”?
It would also allow the addicts to follow their “death wish” to its logical end — without being “shamed” and without having to resort to violent crime to get cash to buy their drugs.
