Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) criticized CBS News Saturday night for what she considered lack of diversity in its team of reporters covering the upcoming 2020 presidential election.
“This WH admin has made having a functional understanding of race in America one of the most important core competencies for a political journalist to have, yet [CBS News] hasn’t assigned a *single* black journalist to cover the 2020 election,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a tweet.
“Unacceptable in 2019. Try again,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

She dethroned a powerful white, male politician who was thought a shoo-in and who was expected to eventually be the Speaker of the House. To the uber-Left it seemed a watershed moment they have all been waiting for. This is when white male heterosexuals finally lose their dominance. Quite accidentally, she was at the right moment when everything seemed to change for the uber-Left. The confluence of the moment and the fact she was young and attractive is too much for our celebrity obsessed Left. As unready as she is for prime time, there she was...there the moment was. We can be fortunate that she is no FDR or young Nancy Pelosi. Also, that she has the smarts of Mr-Guam-will-tip-over is probably good for conservatives. Intelligence isn’t a requirement.

She thinks that just because she was elected as a congresswoman, she is now all knowing and relevant. Kinda like David “camera” Hogg........
It’s bizarre that someone named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hasn’t even figured out that CBS has no interest in hiring black people because Democrats are replacing them with Hispanics as the “minority du jour.”
AOC doesn’t come up with these ignorant statements all by herself. She has writers and handlers.

More and more, I suspect her fellow leftists are going to conclude that she is more trouble than she is worth, and would be far more useful as a “martyr” than a loudmouth.
Which leaves just two questions: how would they do it; and who would get the t-shirt concession?
Once upon a time you could tell when it was a weekend because the networks trotted out blacks to do the news.
To the contrary, she will enjoy a lifetime appointment to Congress subsidized by you and me. A quarter century from now, when her cutesie looks have faded, she will be regarded as an elder statesman, and the next, "wise Latina." The only reason you and I regard her remarks as ridiculously absurd is that we don't have the intellectual capacity to understand her brilliance. There will be no fall from grace.
Knew I should have saved the cartoon of AOC being interviewed on Roe v. Wade where she answered that they were the two ways illegals could enter the US.
Ocasio-Cortez, who the hell cares if a reporter is a POC, what most Americans care about is if they are a POS or not.
I doubt that seeing that she is living for free in a suburban mansion in MD Probably in the basement.
What happened to the best qualified people rising to the top instead of using quotas based on skin color?
