Shannon looks like my Scout
That is very sad.
Sam is huge but he is a big chicken.
Austin was tame enough that he’d sit on my lap and let me cuddle him. I figured he was about a month from being ready for the vet trip but I still would have given him a kitteh tranquilizer before taking him in. He was a big feller.
It made it up to the mid 50s today, mostly cloudy but the sun poked through periodically. Windy, though, and that took the fun out of being outside.
Not as windy as it was there though! Yikes, but it sounds like y’all had a crummy day! Glad we aren’t expecting the frozen stuff you got. Just rain and MAYBE a thunderstorm or two.
I hope your Scout is as sweet as Shannon. Lotsa lovin’ in that girlie.
Yes, it was a heart-breaker. He was a sweet cat but just needed more time to learn to trust humans. I figured he was born feral.
A very handsome cat with the most fabulous jowls I’ve ever seen on a tom. LOL
LOL! That seems to be the way it works a lot of the time.
Dex is a big chicken too.
You have the coolest names for your kittehs. I never can think of anything but just typical cat names. LOL!
I think today was it for icky weather. It’ll just start to warm up from here. Well, pretty chilly at night but gradually back into the 60s again soon. Glad all you had was clouds and a bit of wind. I don’t know about you, but I’m totally tired of wind. The only reason the sand didn’t blow is because it was raining. LOL!
LOL! A lot of names come from books - I like sci-fi and fantasy - and I find other “inspiration” here and there. Austin was the name of one of my military “adoptees” at the time that cat showed up.
Dexter is the name of a friend in Raleigh who was in a band I liked.
Sometimes the kittehs “tell” me their name. When we first adopted Lessa and her kittens from Hubby’s cousin, I looked at her daughter and told her I had no clue what to name her. She looked at me with this intense expression and the name Arabelle popped into mind, and she’s answered to it from the get-go.
Glad you’re only getting the one day of nasty weather. One day’s enough of that! Those 60s sure sound nice! We’ll stay in the low to mid 50s for the next several days, then back off to 40s after that. Normal temps for this time of year and that’s bearable.
I’d rather he be timid. He could be dangerous if her weren’t.
His size is intimidating.
He lets his 50 pound sister drag him around by the collar.
The best kind.
Well, unless they insist on cuddling when one is trying to sleep. LOL
No kidding! He could rip your face off and it would be just a wee bit difficult to stop him! :-)
Dexter makes people nervous because he’s so big and he scowls but he’s the biggest pussy cat when it comes down to it. Not a mean bone in his body, thank goodness. WHEW!!
Vesper my 50 pound dog is the queen.
She claims her spot in the bed.
She is great for warming up cold feet.
Unfortunately every morning I wake up with my knees pinned to the bed.
She is dead weight asleep.
Sam has never tried to get in the bed.
He is happy on the floor.
I can’t imagine having a 50 lb. critter sleeping on the bed. One, they’re going to sleep WHERE THEY WANT TO and two, it’s going to be ON YOU. LOL
But I don’t reckon you need an electric blanket during winter. :-)
Lucky for you! You have enough to deal with with Vesper! The two of them together would roll you off onto the floor!
Made it home safe and sound, but LOTS of slippery spots. Main roads plowed really well, neighborhood roads as well because the ones I drive are on the bus route. My cul-de-sac...deep snow. It will be a while before we get plowed.
A couple fools weaving in and out, but no accidents. MANY folks out shopping. Never got above 35 mph all the way home, which made me quite happy...easier to stop, not so much sliding, and able to keep some distance between the guy in front of me.
About 8” of snow to shovel off the deck. It’s 7.2 degrees at my house. I had to cut my shoveling in half...my hands were frozen, so came in and warmed up before finishing.
But the snow looks good. LOL! The trees are flocked again. And my plow guy had already been here. d:o)
WOW! Sam really grew up!!
Kitties and doggies friends?
my.....#50!!
