Bump.
Bump.
We skipped because it was Thanksgiving.Thread will be back next week-God willing ((((Hugs))))
Thank you for the report AND for you and your amazing mom’s incredible dedication to the Canteen!
Have you heard from Ma?
I just herd about the earthquake just now on my car radio!
Ill just plan on it then. Unless I hear from her. Good to see you, gal!
Newbie? Hahahahaha! MoJo made a funny!
I have some tunes lined up and ready to go when we get home tonight. If we decide at the last minute to stay home, I’ll be in earlier. :-)
Hi Ms.B!! How have you been?
Ma is home with no power. Otherwise, there is some cleanup to be done, but the last I spoke with her...there was no major damage. Keep in mind, she doesn’t have power so she’ll know the full extent once that comes back. I will let her know you’ve left a message.
Again, THANK YOU to everyone that have checked on her. She greatly appreciates it!!
Not a problem, SkyDancer! Hope you’ll see her in the next 24 hours. I know she’ll need her Canteen fix!
Mojo!!!
*MEGAHUG*
Are you up there too?
Are YOU okay?
Thanks for letting us know about Ma!
Glad you are okay, too!
I’m so pleased to hear from you!
Thanks, Mojo, for letting everyone know. Power has been restored and the baseboards are warm and doing their thing. This was the biggest and longest I’ve ever been in. Pretty scary on the 4th floor at the office. Everything came off my 2 little shelves and the CPU fell over and the monitors kept trying to fall over.
Another aftershock as I type....
We were first told to shelter in place, but after the first aftershocks security came knocking on doors and told all to evacuate the building. I had to use the stairs and I can only go down one step at a time. Tonya, our temp stayed with me as others helped others who were REALLY freaked out!! Then at the bottom of the stairs and then going outside, the President of the company, who has escorted me across the snow before, took my arm and took me right to my car door.
Getting home was the real issue, and some had a lot farther to go than I did. No lights at intersections and stupid drivers that don’t know they should be treated as 4 way stops. Took almost 2 hours instead of about 20 minutes...aftershocks the whole way, and still now. My brother called me from Pump Station 5, only minutes before phone service was lost. I tried to call a couple folks but nothing doing. But boy am I glad I have a smart phone and learned how to text...I texted most of the way home as traffic was mostly stopped. Then the phone rang and it was MoJo. She kept me company all the way home.
Huge mess here, pictures to follow. Can’t see the floor in my room. Put everything back in the triple wide medicine cabinet in the bathroom, and back into the hall closet (which has a door with a door knob). Out of 10 or so pictures on the wall by the stairs, only one fell down and the glass broke...most into the track of the stair lift which I’ve been using. Picked out all the glass I could. Then pushed the up button and it ground glass most of the way to the top. Sigh...it will need to be looked at before using. Rice container spilled on the kitchen floor. I vacuumed, but I’m still stepping on rice.
So much stuff on the floor in my room I can’t get to my computer, so I’m laptoping it in the lounger in the living room. My back and knees have had enough picking up for the day.
Another aftershock.
Just saw a picture of a car on a cracked highway. Wow!
Thank God your OK! That’s what matters most.
7.2 is a big quake. Please stay in touch.
It works bee-yoo-tee-fully. Got it cranked up LOUD. Just LOVE that song and its smooooooooooth groove.
Just in for a minute or two before we head out. We don’t stay out late so I hope you’re hangin’ out when we get home in a bit.
*HUGZ*
Im sure you just got her update. Must have been really a scary day for her! Hope you are doing well.
Sorry for the delay. I took a nap. The air is putrid here with dust and its hard to breathe without coughing. Ugh!
Glad your OK (((((Hugs))))
So good to hear from you and that you got home safe. Just let me know if you need help with the thread tonight. Rest!! You deserve it!
Thanks for checking in and the status report. I was worried
Hugs.
